When we were younger many of us wished that during the school year there would be cancellations or early dismissals. If the school’s education system in our district uses the year round school schedule then children and teachers as well won't feel overwhelmed due to the lack of vacations the traditional school system has. Now, to answer the question fellow parents of children in Danbury and Danbury citizens there should be year round school for these reasons: avoids teacher and student burnout, students will be more prepared for the future, and test score increase.

The purpose of Thanksgiving in Canada is different from the Americans. But even though the reasons for giving thanks are different, many of the customs are the same. Canadian Thanksgiving was originally started to give thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. This was when there were lots of farmers that grew crops. Now we give thanks for everything we appreciate. Some farming families still give thanks for a good crop.
Thanksgiving is one of our family big traditions. I love this time of the year because we get to see family from all out of town coming from all different places. Thanksgiving at my house in 2011, was it a blessing or a disaster? I called to ask my brother what the plans were for this year’s dinner and he said that we should have it at my house. At 1:45 College English began and our baking process started. The first step was to preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and gather all supplies that was needed to make the cupcakes. Anna and I began to fill the cupcake pans with cupcake liners. Maya sprayed the cupcake liners with cooking spray so the cupcakes wouldn’t stick. Our next step was to start mixing the batter. I started to soften three sticks of butter in the microwave. Luckly Anna was keeping a close eye on me because I almosted used a metal bowl to melt the butter in the microwave. Sadie began to mix 4 ½ cups of flour, 3 ⅓ teaspoons of baking powder, and ¾ of a teaspoon of salt together in a bowl. For about four minutes Sadie mixed the butter and sugar. Anna then added six teaspoons of vanilla to the mixture. My group added half of our flour mixture to the bowl of eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
