In the December of 1919 Walt Disney and his friend; Ubbe Eert Iwerks, formed a company called “Iwerks-Disney Commercial Artists”. This endeavor was put to a halt because of Walt’s abandonment to go work for the Kansas City Slide Company. Ubbe soon filed for bankruptcy, and joined walt in the animation industry.
Later, in 1921 Milton Field contracted Walt Disney to animate twelve cartoons, Which were eventually named Laugh-O-Grams. Disney used the remaining assets from his defunct company to incorporate the relatively short animated films. They ended up producing the twelve films with little return.

It changed its operating name from “The Walt Disney Studios” to “Walt Disney Productions” in 1986, it began focusing on things such as radio, music, publishing, online media, and employed Mickey Mouse (An almost universally recognizable character from the 1928 animated film “Steamboat Willie” and onwards) as its company mascot. As of now, it is the second largest media conglomerate in the world. It owns and operates the broadcasting network: ABC, as well as cable broadcasting networks such as ESPN, A+E Networks, and Freeform. Such recognizable studios such as Pixar, Marvel, Touchstone, and Marvel all belong to Disney as of now. Their influence can be seen almost everywhere now, with all the advertisements and studio credits featuring the mouse, it’s hard not to see.
Unfortunately not many people put the pieces together. Despite all of the images of mickey mouse appearing in movies, television, advertisements, and news channels, the public fails to see the collusion. If you’ve ever wondered why ABC News never reports on Disney is because they aren’t allowed to, or just don’t want to risk the possibility of getting a slap on the wrist by Disney.
