Egypt has always been a land of desert and the Nile River. The area around the Nile has always been used for farming, further agriculture and a source of water. The desert is a barren land which supports little life but did provide protection from neighbouring civilisations. Ancient Egypt had fascination with religion, the many gods, and also a strong belief in the afterlife as shown by all the possessions buried. They developed paper from papyrus, studied geometry, mathematics and construction as seen in the pyramids and many temples.
Cleopatra was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. She had the following characteristics she was greek and was very smart, she was also known for her beauty. She was born in 69BC and lived for 39 years. The name “Tutankhamen” means ‘the living image of [the god]’. His father was Akhenaten and his mother was probably most likely Nefertiti or Kiya. He is remembered for rewriting the wrong doings of his father and reuniting ancient Egypt by restoring popularity. Tutankhamen had a club foot thought to be because of his inbred parents, feminie hips and an overbite. It is disputed as to which age that Tutankhamun died at but it is thought to be around the age of 18 or 19. It’s also disputed as to the cause of his death but it could of either been a murder or a broken leg. Legends and tails speak of a mythical curse on in regard to King Tutankhamun. The curse is said to have begun when many very bad events occurred after the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. The person who paid for the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, died shortly after the discovery. The cursed was said to suggest that anyone who dared to open the tomb would suffer the anger of the
