A healthcare is a over growing field that one can find many possibilities to choose from. When initially decided to go back to school with the final goal in mind of being healthcare management. I researched many different degrees in the healthcare field; I originally thought to go to nursing school thinking that was a way to get in the field and then move to a more administrative position. However, after I did a little more research in healthcare field decided to go for healthcare management. “Employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 17 percent from 2014 to 2024” With the generation of baby boomers heading towards retirement age, more of them will need to use the healthcare system, and this generation contains more people than previous generations have. Also, because this generation is probably living longer than any previous generations, they are more likely to have more chronic diseases as they age, which means more demand on the healthcare system as a whole. The medical and healthcare management will be in highs demand to organize information of all this new patients. Requirement To get started in healthcare career a bachelor degree will open the door for an entry-level; however, some organizations require that the healthcare management holds a master degree for higher positions. Working as medical and healthcare service requires some qualities like, communications skill to communicate effectively with other medical professionals and staff. Another skill that is interpersonal leaderships to interact property with physician, medical staff and or insurance companies.
