I learned about this internship from a family friend, I looked into what the internship consisted of and I was very interested right away. I was interested in all the different opportunities that are available with the internship, like environmental education, public communication, natural resource interpretation, and habitat management. I believe I am a very strong candidate for this position. I have been very involved in different activates where I acquired many different skills. I was part of 4-H, FFA, Big Sister, county council, and I was also a tutor/mentor for a younger child. As a freshman at Iowa State University I am currently involved in
My academic performance excels my grade level. I enjoyed past experiences with speaking in front of others by participating in student council at Brookside Elementary in the 4th and 5th grades. I have had experience updating other students about things that are happening around campus. I will always be on time for our meetings and go to every one. I will always remember to bring my best ideas so that ASB can be a thing others will enjoy. I am a responsible, organized person that likes to contribute my ideas. Some things that I can bring to ASB are a positive outlook on ideas, creative and fun ideas, motivation, quality, leadership and hard work. To be in ASB, I know that you need to respect others and have good communication with my peers. I believe I excel in these two categories, and I will put forth my best effort to make MCMS a better school. I can contribute positive character traits as well as being an example to others. I would be very excited if I could be part of ASB next

Internships completed by students in certain degree programs are quite popular in most colleges and universities. An internship is used so classroom based learning in a degree program can be applied to practical situations in the real world (Jordan, Burns, Bedard & Barringer, 2007). When students are placed with an agency, there is a real possibility that a portion of students will witness actions they believe is unethical or illegal. During a study conducted within four universities, many students that participated in an internship program within the criminal justice system reported that they had observed behavior they suspected to be illegal behavior for a law enforcement agency. (Jordan et al. 2007). Due to this ongoing problem, colleges

For the purposes of this assignment, I would hire Jasmeen Wellere for the position of residential direct care youth counselor at Cunningham Children’s Home. Based on the interview I conducted with Jasmeen, coupled with her résumé and cover letter, I think she would fit in well at Cunningham because she has an excellent socio-functional fit with the organization. I am basing this assessment on the job description she provided and my own research on the organization.

I think my internship goals have changed, at first I was more interested in working at a zoo, and I was really excited to work at Buttonwood park zoo with the otters, but after housing complications, and other personal issues I was unable to complete my internship there. I think that was the first thing that changed my goals. After completing my internship at the Center for Wildlife, I realized that I really like the upbeat pace of working at a rehabilitation center, and would really like to move forward with working at one. My career goals before my internship was more zoo based, with some rehabilitation later on along with some research projects.

My internship at 6abc has been a dream come true. For me brushing elbows with a famous journalist like Jim Gardner means more than meeting a famous movie star. The atmosphere in the building is something indescribable and it changes every day, every hour to be precise. When news changes, the atmosphere changes. I have honestly dreamed of working at 6abc since I first realized I wanted to be a broadcaster.
