The objective during this experiment was to discover the effects sodium chloride has on ice/water mixtures. More specifically how it affects the mixture’s temperature and freezing point. This was tested through seven different trials with increasing amounts of sodium chloride in each separate test. In order to conduct this analysis one must understand the meaning of the terms ‘independent’ and ‘dependant’ variable.
