Reflective Essay On My Writing Style

As I look back on my writings in the past, especially over the course of this semester. I notice that I have professed far on my ability of free writing.

This course taught me a new Style of writing, and an easier way to Invent my papers, as well as giving the liberty to Arrange it however I wanted, as well as choose an Audience to write to.

The new Style I write in is called free-writing. I am using this Style with this here final paper as well, because it's an easy way to write in. I am not limited to stating a main idea, following it up with three paragraphs explaining why, only to end in a conclusion that typically restates the exact same things I said in the previous three.

The second thing I noticed about this course was when I was reading over my Critical Artist Music Review paper.

When I first started this course, I didn't know how credible Leslie fish was. In fact, I couldn't care less about who she was at all. All she was to me was a singer with a unique voice, singing songs that I enjoyed. Songs from books I never had the opportunity to read.

When I did research about her, I learned that she supported many things that were also supported in her songs. She was (at one point, at least) an avid anti-war activist, an anarchist, a gun rights supporter, and has (supposedly) also made songs detailing the possible aftermath of a nuclear war, and how to survive it.

I was entertained in learning how a singer I liked had lyrics that clearly supported their real life beliefs.

So the music you listen to every day often goes much farther beyond just words. A lot of classmates explained that their artists were credible as well, which means it wasn't just Leslie Fish. So when you listen to music, especially from your favorite singer, it can be entertaining to look up social and political causes they publicly support, because it can lead all the way into the lyrics they
