Prejudice is another obstacle that clients are faced with because of an assumption made about them. Being prejudice can negatively impact emotional well-being and one's sense of self. Actions of others may stop a client from getting the help or assistance they may need because of the fear of being judged. Prejudice often stems from stereotypes about groups of people. “Fear, uncertainty, stubbornness, denial, lack of confidence or a lack of hope, or even the inability to envision the future can be significant obstacles to change” (Summers, 2014, p. 240). According to Zastrow (2012), Ethnocentrism is also an obstacle “which means we use the standard in our culture to judge the behavior and culture of other people” (p. 238). The client clients must spend at least an entire morning or afternoon just applying for each service for food banks, mental health agency, welfare to work programs. To facilitate the clients, care between the agencies child prevention services will offer a once a month fair where the agencies will come to the school in the community. The fair will take place on the first Saturday of the month and the time will be from nine until three in the afternoon. The next way child prevention services will utilize making things easier for the parents will be using the community center in their neighborhood. This will be done once a month on second Tuesday from the hours of four until seven at night. The final way child prevention services will make sure that the parents can utilize services is that the agency will offer bus passes three times a month. Child prevention services will reach out to different organizations in the community to get help with paying for the bus passes. Reaching out to other agencies can also be a good starting point for people to work together in other ways. In the state of Texas for the intake process, they have gone paperless, but this system still requires moving parts. The intake form does require accurate documentation up front. Being paperless does have its benefits for being able to track documents and eliminate scanning. Streamline can simplify the process for the case manager and the client because it addresses problems and issues the client is facing. In December of last year, Texas released a program called Impact Modernization. “IMPACT stands for "Information Management Protecting Adults and Children in Texas” (DFAS, 2017).
