I was a pit bull owner. My pit bulls name was Jax. I was not only a pit bull owner but, I also was a responsible pit bull owner to a very friendly pit bull. For example, I would take my pit bull on walks, to the vet, he was trained and good with kids. I would like to change people's thinking that all pit bulls are not bad. Some pit bulls are heros and save lives. I believe that people should be allowed to have a choice to keep pit bulls as pets. The media is biased against pit bulls. Media reports attacks by unknown dog breeds as pit bulls. News outlets consistently tell animal control officers they will not cover an attack unless it involves a pit bull. Despite that other dogs also attack they are not publicized in the media. By their media report content, doing this has an effect on the public's eye and leaves them with no choice but to automatically believe that pit bulls are dangerous. Pit bulls are working dogs. Pit bulls are used for hunters, guardians, herders and pets. This shows that pit bulls are good to keep at home. My dog Jax was an indoor dog and was helpful to warn when someone was at the door.
