Statement of Purpose

For most people an imagination of future job is formed during the high school period. But as for me, the very pristine passion for both my future education and job was shaped when I was only a 9-year-old-boy. Much to my chagrin, my mother was severely ill then, and although battling against it for two years, she finally died of terminal diseases (known as stomach cancer). Physicians and veterinarians are able to help individuals with problems and diseases. But with public health, one would be enabled to help both humans and animals on a large scale, even at global level. Today, I firmly believe Public Health is one of the most crucial aspects of Medicine. It, indeed, can help prevent and bring solutions to health issues like no other field. Furthermore Veterinary Public Health is the most right choice for me. With the knowledge I gain in the Veterinary Public Health specialization (VPH) as an option within the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program, I would be able to fulfil my dreams of striving for a healthy society. I am very much interested in the practicum in zoonotic area. I believe zoonotic diseases are borderless disasters that need to be controlled and prevented profoundly. I am also very much interested in the thesis option of Culminating project. I have the experience of research during DVM program at SCU, Ahwaz, Iran, and believe nothing is more satisfying than generating new knowledge that would help overcome a problem. Thus, I am deeply familiar with the steps of developing a publishable thesis. Another aspect that makes the VPH program unique at Ohio state university is the fact that unlike other Master of Public Health specialties, not many other schools present such a spectacular and essential specialty. I welcome the challenge of participating in such a dynamic and intriguing degree program. I hope my application for admission and financial aid will be given the most serious
