Personal Narrative: My Trip To Rapid City

“Let’s go see the long-neck asaurus!” exclaimed Kae Lynn, while Tristan’s eyes lit up as she excitedly said “Yeah!”. Which led to a weekend in Rapid City. My Mom would be taking us to Rapid City, because she didn’t have work. Consequently booking us a room at the Ramkota. We then decided on picking up Kae Lynn first, since she lived in Eagle Butte, then we will pick up Tristan in Dupree. Before we left for Rapid City, we stopped at Cenex to pick up some snacks for the two hour-long drive. Meanwhile, they were getting snacks, I stayed in the car, trying to connect my phone to the car’s stereo. A couple of minutes later Kae Lynn, Tristan, and my mom made their way to the car. Kae Lynn carried a bag of hot Cheetos, Swedish fish, and a bottle sweet tea, while Tristan had a bag of pretzels and a bottle of sweet tea. We first went to the Ramkota to check in and put our stuff in the room, and then we left to go to the dinosaur park. After climbing the steep set of stairs, up to the seven dinosaur sculptures. Kae Lynn took off running to the tallest dinosaur, screaming “The long-neck asaurus!”. My Mom then had us stand underneath the tallest dinosaur by its belly and also had us sit on the Triceratops, so that she could take pictures of the three of us. Then we went to Flags and Wheels, to play laser tag. When we got there we had to put on these light up vests that glowed two different colors, red and blue. All of the lights flickered off before the game started, making it completely dark except for the glow in the dark paint splattered on the walls.
