From the moment I stepped into the world, I have been different from 97% of the population. I am a fraternal twin. This world is much like the world of non-twins, as I imagine, but that is something that I will never quite know. As this has been something that I’ve experienced for all 17 years of my life, it’s never seemed out of the ordinary to me. However, I still find myself defining it as an interesting part of my identity. It is interesting to me that in a world where we fight so hard to be liked through copying the latest fashion trend or buying That New Cool Thing, we still strive to be known as individuals.
