The museum was fabulous, that was my first visit and it preceded its reputation. I was impressed with the introduction to the entrance to the museum. Before I describe my experience at the museum, I must give kudos to my professor Ms. Narayan, who prepared the way for us to attend the museum. There was no hassle in the parking lot or no confusion at the designated meeting area, all was on point. For that I say thank you, Dr. Narayan. I drove up to the parking lot and all was taken care of, after identifying myself the arm went up and I pulled in. As I walked to the build there were the frogs, big neon green frogs that lead to the entrance of the museum just as Dr. Narayan had told us to look for. Reflecting on my museum experiences this museum is one of a kind for (STEM) science, technology, engineering, and math, keeping up with the 21st century. The Perot Museum introduced exhibits that are full of technology, videos, and history. I was really impressed by the names associated with each exhibit hall. Science is being introduced in a way that is captivating to all people, young and old. I observed a majority of older visitors during my visit. The museums I have frequently visited I find mostly Caucasian, Oriental ethnicity, or Asian. This is the percentage across the board. This summer I visited five different museums in the Tri –State: Indianapolis, Kentucky, and West Virginia. I could count the African Americans that were in attendance at any given one of the museum. I saw mostly Caucasians and Asians visiting the museum with their children; rarely did I see any Hispanics or African Americans visiting the museum. At the Perot Museum, there were a large number of Caucasians and school age children. The time I was there the attendance was not heavy, but I could tell as the day wore on the attendance picked up. I observed more adults compared to children there. If I had to guess, I would say the Perot Museum is a fantastic learning and discovering museum.
