My Collegiate Experience

The internet has exploded within the last fifteen years tagging along the necessity of computers and computing related devices. Everything from social media sites, to televisions, smartphones, and even microwave ovens are made operational by source codes. Because of the expansion of technology I have chosen to go down the path of Computer Science. Computer Science is the scientific and practical approach to computers and their applications. Although I don’t exactly know what I want to do in the future, I know that there will always be a need for people that are “tech-savvy”. I attend Cedar Hill Collegiate High School which is a school that strictly prepares the attending students for college. Throughout my collegiate experience I have gone through many obstacles that have both hindered and affected my success at collegiate, for example, procrastination. I started doing my assignments beforehand which lead me to more time to study and because of this my grades improved drastically. Not only did I have more time to study, but I also had time to form dedicated study groups which made a huge impact because I placed myself around other students that were on task and wanted to be just as successful as I did. Procrastination made me believe that I could put assignments off because I thought that I would have a reasonable amount of time to complete the assignment. My sophomore collegiate experience really opened my eyes and made me realize that with the help of my fellow students, family, and hard work and determination I can become successful.
