The Beatles, who deserve their fame
The Beatles was not only artist with good songs. They were more than artist who truly influenced lives that had them. Since, I learned about their fame first hand, I thought their music was quite over-rated. However, while I researched for my reaction paper, I found out that it was truly the Beatles who deserve such praise after all these years. Therefore, I would like to write a reaction paper on the Beatles and how they truly deserve the fame.
First of all, I remember the Beatles introduced in the book 'Outliers' which is a book that tries to explain how the 'Outliers' became the 'Outliers'. The description of the Beatles was that they were ready for their fame when they started to get famous. They were playing 5 hours a day 7days a week in bars, covering the songs of rock 'n' roll. They weren't actually writing songs or creating per se, but I strongly believe that they understood rock 'n' roll from all that playing. They must have internalized the genre and felt free to experiment with it so creatively. I believe they were ready to experiment later in their song making career because they put so much time in it. To be an artist you have to create new value. After they met with Bob Dylan, their songs became political and show true compositional craftsmanship. In this sense, they matured as true artists because they gave people songs not only to entertain but gave something to think about. They inspired people to make new values with their songs. Also, albums such as "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is such an innovative album not because of merely good songs but how it became the landmark in recording. I read that it popularized the concept album, which influenced artists later on. Also, they made a lot of bands discouraged of this album, which shows how much it was innovational and
