Also like is father, Kronos feared the Hundred-Hand Giants, and Cyclopes. Kronos ignored Gaea's promise, so he through his brothers, Hundred-Hand Giants, and Cyclopes, and imprisoned in Tarturus. Gaea is the goddess of the earth and prophecy. Gaea got upset with Kornos for throwing Hundred-Hand Giants, and Cyclopes in Tarurus, and said someday your son will over …show more content…

He wanted more. A young boy (Zeus) came and gave him another cup, and Kronos drank it without knowing that young boy was Zeus and that he had never seen him before. Kronos wondered who the young boy was and why he given him a drink. Kornos also wondered what he had given him and why his stomach felt so weird. Kronos then got a really bad pain in his stomach and through up the rock, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia. Rhea then came into the room and stood by Zeus. She told him that Zeus was his son the prophecy was right an that Zeus was his son. Kronos did not believe her so he started a war to see who could when his place. The war lasted for 10 years. Gaea got tired so she told Zeus about her children that were locked up in Tarturus, Hundred-Handed Giants, and Cyclopes. Gaea prophised that the god who brought her lost children back from Tarturus, would win the war and be ruler. Zeus and his brothers went down to Tartus to rescue Gaea's children. When they had been rescued Zeus told them that we are fighting the Titan ruler and that he had come to rescue them. The Cyclopes told them in return for freeing them, they three brothers shall receive a special gift. Zeus received a lightening bolt that is an invincible weapon against any enemy. Poseidon received a trident to help shake the earth and make waves. Hades received the gift on invincibility.
