As Forrest Gump’s famous slogan goes, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna (sic) get." It cannot be held any truer than during the era of the Cold War (1947–1991). The mighty nations of United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics were the main players. Although the movie shows the 1940’s era leading up to 1980’s the Cold War was a fraction on it. It was not an actual war but more a standoff between two strong nations the United States and Soviet Union. It leads to our involvement in Vietnam, the moon landing, and government scandals. All where illustrated in the movie Forrest Gump. America was changing rapidly not only the people even our government. It showed how policies and people would change the focal point certain decades. Although the events were seen through a fictional character they were accurate in illustrating the mood and emotion of how the world was in those times. While it would be possible for a single person to be present at all of these events, it is unlikely that anyone was, so that part of the film is not true, otherwise most of the facts are true. The differences between the history in the film and real life are mostly small details and are changes made to add Forrest into all of the events. The movie was historically accurate and was able to show how over time in each decade had its own stepping stones. Although not any single person could have actually been at every single event illustrated in the film the possibility of it happening is the base it off the film maker made such reference to many historic events. Forrest’s life is filled with many adventures and historic accounts some that had the power to change the world and make the movie intertwine ...

After becoming a great success he is struck with news that his mother is dying this may not seems as a historic event what Lt Dan with the money of the company changes history he invest into a fruit company which turn out to be Apple Computer which makes them extremely wealthy Forrest takes part of his wealth and gives it to Bubbas Mother. Apple Computer at the time they invested into the company was in its taking off stage they were getting their company up and getting their products recognized.
