Flexible Work Schedules The nine to five work hours are a thing of the past, no longer a mandatory work schedule or shift required. People have much more control over their work schedules, making their work time to coincide with their personal time. This makes things much easier and less stressful for everyone involved. Some of the choices I will talk about being terms called work schedules, telecommuting, job sharing and compressed workweek. This is not necessarily a new concept, just a well-kept secret from the past. Flexible work schedules are amazing and can help anyone having a hard time with too many overwhelming things on their plate at one time and trying to get to work on time and keep their job. Good workers are hard to find and keep. By working with your supervisor or boss, everyone involved has a say and point to make and communication is a key in a successful working relationship. It is good to know what options are out there and not every company offers the same type of work schedule options. Some schedule options that could be available maybe Job sharing, where you share a job with another person, dividing the time up between the two of you. Where working different times and days or someone works the mornings while the other works the afternoons. Telecommuting, which is when you take your work with you to another location. This could be your home, an office closer or further away needing you their part of the time. Lastly, there is something called a compressed work week. This schedule is commonly used for longshoremen or offshore men. These workers usually work five weeks on and get two to three weeks off before returning to work again.
