Being able to accept feedbacks from other people helps us to think deeply. However, all individuals have different perspectives and attitudes, which means not all people would agree with our opinions. Disagreement may lead to controversy if one does not listen to others patiently. The organization that I have been volunteering for is the Portland Asian Health and Services Center (AHSC). During the past few weeks, I participated in some of their events. We opened to feedback at the end of each event in order to improve our service quality if there were any negative feedbacks. I received some feedback while I was volunteering for the events. And most of these feedbacks were positive since the AHSC has helped asian immigrants in the local community for more than three decades. Two weeks ago, the AHSC organized a trip for their elderly clients, which was Portland River Spirit Lunch Cruise. Participants had a wonderful time on that day. During the trip, a client told me that it was great that having such a good time with other clients. It was a community health and education exchange event which organized by the AHSC and four schools of Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). During the events, students of OHSU provided general physical exams to AHSC’s clients. Each clients had scheduled an appointment before they went to the event, and the duration of each appointment was supposed to be 30 minutes. However, on that day, some exams were exceed 30 minutes, which means that some clients needed to wait. A client complained that her physical exam should be started at 1:00pm, however, she waited until 1:20. I felt like it was difficult to explain since things might be unpredictable and inevitable. But we did apologize to those who waited for a long time, and promised that we would improve our service
