Symbolic interactionism are symbols that we use to define our relationships with people in society. It can refer to our parents, friends, siblings, employees, teachers, and so forth. These symbols will help us to determine our behavior towards an individual and how we treat them. For example, the way we communicate with our friends will be different from how we talk to our teachers because we are aware that our relationship with our teacher is professional and our relationship with our friends is personal.
