Reasearch question-''in your opinion what are the benefits and drawbacks of organ transplantation and how has science helped us to use organ transplantation to keep us healthy?''

Organ transplantation has saved and improved the health of many lives since 1930s.Organ transplantation is an operation that moves an organ from one organism -the donor to another -the recipient. An Organ transplant is needed if one of organs of a human has failed due to illness or injury.The donor can be living person or someone who has recently died (someone who while they were living agreed to donate their organs after their death).In the following paragraphs, how science has helped us to use organ transplantation to keep us healthy will be discussed , so will the benifits and drawbacks according to social, enviromental and ethical aspects.

Organ tranplantation has had it's social drawbacks and benefits .According to the department of health and human services of US, for every one organ or tissue donor, more then 50 lives can be improved or even saved. Almost 115,000 men,children and women in the U.S. are waiting for an organ transplant. So by becoming a donor you can save lives.Furthermore the deceased donor's family feel good about the goodness that came from the tragedy, that is ofcourse if the recipient was a young deserving person. Thus the donor families take consolation in knowing that a part of their loved one continues to live. Finally you can donate organs and still live a healthy life.While living you can donate a kidney, parts of your liver, lung, pancreas and intestines and blood with the great possibillity of living as before.Ussually relatives donate organs while living however it is possible to register and g...
