What Does It Mean To You? Now someone might think that life is meaningless only if they think life is absurd. There 's a difference between an absurd and a meaningless life. An absurd life is meaningless, but a meaningless life is no absurd. How can a life be meaningless but not absurd you ask? Suppose everyone 's life including yourself is objectively meaningless, without purpose or any point to it at all, some people might take life more seriously than others. For example you might have a passion for science and working in a lab one day you stumble upon an official cure for breast cancer by accident. If you don 't live a proper life, you will go to hell and suffer for all eternity. The issue I have with that is there are several different religions with different beliefs so how do I know which religion is the correct one to follow or not. For example in the Muslim religion if you go out and sacrifice your life for Allah by committing a suicide and blowing yourself up, you will be blessed with 72 virgins in heaven. On the other hand in many other religions suicide is a sin and you will go straight to hell if those acts are committed. Some people go the route of being an Atheist, you don 't believe in a higher power and that life doesn 't really have any meaning.
