There where to main players in The War of the Currents and they were Thomas Edison and Nick Tesla. This war was not a war of violence it was a war about which way we would power everything in America. The two way were A/C (Alliterative Current) and D/C (Direct Current) both of these methods had there ups and downs. Edison was on the D/C side and Nick Tesla was on the A/C both in a fierce competition to prove that there way was the best and disprove the others. This war was for money and fame to power the world for centuries to come. Thomas Edison was one of the greatest inventors of his time inventing phonograph, kinetoscope, mimeograph and many more but the most important and what he is famous for is inventing the lightbulb. He came up with the idea of Alliterative current in one of his classes. Then moving to the United States to tell his idea to Thomas Edison. Then moving to America to work for Edison to earn his trust and then presenting it Edison. When first meeting Edison he gave Tesla a challenge to fix a boat engine, Tesla took the challenge and completed it. After working for working for Edison for sometime he presented his idea to make Alliterative Current a thing. Edison told him that A/C was to dangerous and it could kill people. After that Tesla left Edison’s company and started his own to make A/C a thing. For about 2 years he was working as a ditch digger until he was inspirited by one of the fellow ditch digger to follow his dream. After that he started looking of investors to start his company and he had to show them how it was going to work because Edison D/C method was already an established and this was a completely new to these investors. He did get some investors but they did not give him enough money to start his company until he met one investor named George Westinghouse who would give him the money and help him a lot to find his
