Have you ever wondered what life would be like as if there were no education at all? What about a college education? Though some think that college is a waste of time, I find it rather helpful in multiple ways. There are some way in which college is important to me, time management, success after college, and the mental affects going to college can have.

Time management is crucial in day-to-day living, especially when you’re going to school. But how much of that time would be wasted if there were no education. We as a human race would probably just sit around twiddling our thumbs all day. According to collegeparents.com the average student spends roughly thirty hours of studying and fifteen hours of actual class time. That is the equivalent to having a full time job. But where is all time being invested? 27.3% of students who are attending a college course right now think that it is a waste of time.That is not the case for this college student. According to sidelineguides.com “The percentage of colleges that rated having good grades considerably important plummeted from 42% in 1993 to a mere 13% in 2012”. That meaning, if you don’t have good grade then a(n) education at a(n) university is not as likely. But just because your grades aren’t the best doesn’t mean that you might as well not go to college. Statistically more and more students are choosing community college over going to a high end university, for many reason. Small class size which means more hands on with professors, low tuition rate, flexible schedules and hours. the possibilities are endless. In order to have motivation to go to college, you have to have something to work for. Some work hard so they can have success. Others work hard to end a streak of family members going to college.
