Anne Frank Essay In 1933 a movement called the holocaust took place. This act lead by Adolf Hitler killed over 6 million people and terrorized much more. One family demolished by the holocaust were the Franks. In 1945 they decided to go into hiding. While they hid in the annex, many things changed and became worse on the outside. This affected the mood and relationships of Anne Frank and her family. One relationship that changed over time in the Diary of Anne Frank is Anne and Mr. Dussel’s. When Mr. Dussel arrived in the annex, he states that he is patient with children. He says this in paragraph 361 “ I always get along very well with children.
