The career I have chose to write and research on is Electrical engineering; I selected this career because it is the field I wish to go into once I graduate. As of right now there are approximately 3.95 million people employed in the job field as an electrical engineer. The employe rate has been up and down constantly over the years, but the last couple years it has been increasing. It is predicted over the next year to increase by 4.13%, and it supposed to continue to grow in the future years. Such as: designing different equipment to be used, military equipment, going and testing devices, or installing them. You will have the responsibility to possibly supervise others as they work, but it all depends on what roles you have in the workforce, how long you have been with a company, and your work experience level. The different duties and responsibilities that is required by one all depends on what their job is and what needs to get done. Sometimes you may have to go and do things that may not be your strong point, but by pushing through making sure you are doing it right and getting it done is what you have to do. The average age for electrical engineers is 43 which is the people who have been in the field for a few years and have their work down from the most part. The physique of a typical employee is decently fit and healthy with strong working ambitions. The qualities you need are: patience, determination, ambitious, confidence, smart, and a strong initiative. These are some important qualities because they will allow you to work well while excelling in the workplace really proving you belong there. You need to have a BS in electrical engineering: while being good with your hands and able to think outside the box when the situation comes up. Communication, writing, and math skills are necessities to help you communicate with others by speaking or by talking numbers about your thoughts on a certain device. These are some of the qualities and qualifications that will allow you to excel greatly in the work
