SWAT tactics have come a very long way since its creation in 1967 in Los Angeles, California. Every day SWAT teams are being called to dangerous scenarios in which they are trained to handle to keep everyone involved in the scenario safe, including the offender. From starting off at a basic police academy, a SWAT member blossoms into one of the most mentally, and physically tough officers within the lines of Law Enforcement. It takes patience, and lots of training to officially be on a SWAT team, but if you achieve such status you will be respected by many. SWAt teams deal with many situations. Most people do not realize the mass amount of calls they receive every year, and with the amount that they get, not all calls end up being a shooter. A lot of times these calls they receive are not for an active shooter but can be as complex as a person threatening to commit suicide which they take such calls very seriously. Handling these calls is not a walk through the park so that is why all swat teams train on a regular basis, and stay up to date with the most modern tactics and techniques to get their job done as best as possible.
SWAT, also known as, Special Weapons and Tactics, was first created when crime became too much for regular Law Enforcement to handle. It was in 1967, in Los Angeles, when inspector Daryl Gates came up with the brilliant idea to create the idea of SWAT. Daryl created SWAT to handle with dangerous hostage situations, and other situations involving armed, and dangerous suspects. It was said that regular patrol officers, and police that carried light armor and weapons had a lack of knowledge and equipment to deal with snipers and bank robberies, so he thought that there was a need for something to take care of t...

To get an exact definition of a SWAT team is impossible. They are used on a daily basis to handle the most vigorous and dangerous situations. Without SWAT teams we would be left with police officers and they wouldn’t be able to handle what SWAT teams do. They are a necessity to keep towns and cities safe from all different kinds of threats. Although not all people know what they do and why they are important, they take a big role in todays society.
Cadets train physically, mentally, and socially. During training cadets must do ride alongs with the patrol and work events the patrol is in charge of like the Ohio State Fair. Once cadet graduates training and becomes a trooper they must first work at least 2 years on the highways to switch to a specialty job. This does not include k-9 and investigation there has not been a limit for those jobs but still need to go through training an application process investigation and undercover has a different application process than the cadet application.
Most Seal missions are unreported and unknown to the general public. The Seals are trained to operate in small units, one or two men, or a platoon consisting of sixteen or more men. Not all Seal teams are made for everyone, in fact 80% of the men who attempt to become one, fail or will drop out. To become a Seal you must have dedication, hardwork, and a lot of commitment.

In the police the special constabulary are the volunteer force they have the same training as the police and the same powers they just can't go in the helicopters or with the armed response teams. but they can still arrest people. they come from all walks of life like teachers, taxi drivers, shop owners. they also save a lot of money for the police because they don't get paid so they are out on the street helping to prevent crime just like an ordinary officer who gets paid. the time you must give up between 8-12 hours a week.
In the book Don’t Shoot, David Kennedy and his associates used a focused deterrence approach of policing. The first thing that goes into the focused deterrence approach is mapping out the crime that needs to be dealt with. Receiving 911 calls will help in mapping out the crimes you are looking for, and knowing where they are coming from in that particular city. After you figured out where all the crimes are being committed, everyone in the criminal justice system needs to come together. This includes, probation officer, police officers, DA, judges, and even the community members. Then once you have all these pieces moving, you can then figure out who these people are that are committing the violent crimes. Once you know whom the criminals are,
United States Border Patrol has been around since 1904 enforcing and regulating laws under the immigration and Nationality Act. U.S. border patrol is now under the Department of Homeland Security, which was created as a response to the attacks of September 11, 2001. Over the years, their jurisdiction and missions have changed to better protect the safety of nation. Although border patrol is a need for any nation, their extensive acceptations to constitutional laws can often be taken advantage of. The mission of the U.S. border patrol should be to prevent illegal aliens, which are a threat to American society, from reaching their purpose. Frequently, their purpose can be confused or executed in a bias manner.
You have to train so that they know you qualify for the job. You have to be in shape and know how to act in different situations. The agents receive classroom and Web-based instruction in subjects including law, investigative practices, forensics, behavioral science, and ethics. To get an experience of what it will be like, they will have you practice and act out common scenarios. The trainees will conduct a mock-investigation where they will interview suspects, find evidence, and provide testimony in court. Police tactics around the world are used on a daily basis while resolving the crimes that occur day by day keeping the officers themselves safe and taking down the suspect effectively. In the mandatory training for police officers, there should be different mock scenarios where police officers take action as if it was a real crime and get assessed and evaluated on their behavior. Police and military personnel train for months and run countless mock drills to learn how to diffuse situations. They still do not know just how they would react in a real life active shooter situation. There are too many factors that can go wrong in that kind of situation. There might be other students that decide to react and just shoot the first person they see with a gun. Now you have several trigger happy people running around with guns for law enforcement to distinguish if they are a threat or ally. Any of these can result in more unnecessary injuries or
