Kenya is a country located in eastern part of Africa.it is estimated to be having a population of 40 million people .Even though it is experiencing equatorial rainfall the all seasons, good tourist attraction sites and fertile land due to its geographical location. Large percentage of the population is suffering from poverty. Poverty in Kenya is caused by three main reasons Corrupted, selfish and ambitious government leaders, tribalism, poor road and infrastructure and lack of jobs.
Most Kenyan leaders are very corrupted, selfish and ambitious. They care about themselves and their families and not majority who elected them. Instead of serving the society they are busy competing among themselves allocating funds to themselves and embezzling government funds to their foreign accounts. The majority suffer because government is forced to increase taxes due to mismanagement of funds and poor economy in order to sustain the country and make it run. Consequently its citizen end up suffering, a lot of tax is imposed on them, salaries become less and they are forced live poor life standard in order to meet their daily needs with the little income they get, also when tax is increased products price increases, as a result life become unbearable, individuals are unable to cater for their needs and they are forced to cut short their budgets by limiting expenses, for example some family eat food once a day in order to save and be able to have meal each day., in situations where indivuals don’t work they are forced to beg in the streets, as time goes by their health detorriate and they end up dying due to malnutrition or hunger. People suffer not because they are lazy the situation around them lead them into such miseries.

Suppliers are forced to raise the price due to cost incurred during transportation of farm products conditions, at end only the rich can be able to afford.
In conclusion Kenya is a very fertile country and it has many opportunities to better living standard of its people, but the government and its citizens are not open minded, in addition instead of individuals working hard to elect people who can focus on their needs, they make it worse by fighting among themselves and spreading tribalism, therefore for Kenya to develop and move forward, change must began from individual, society then government.
Kenya is in a malnourished area, so the farmers should sell their produce more locally for better improvements
Poverty has been a growing problem in America, and it most likely will never stop being one. Someone who is identified as being in poverty lives beneath the poverty line determined by the Federal government. The poverty line in 2015 for a family of four was $24,250. These are the people who are really considered poor. Poverty isn’t just a problem in the United States; in fact, other countries struggle just as much, if not more, than the United States does. Many people struggle to keep themselves above the government’s poverty line, shown by the fact that the percent of poor people in America hasn’t drastically changed over the years. However, it is possible to get out of, and ultimately stay out of, poverty.

Poverty in Developing and Less Developed Countries The world includes less developed countries and developing countries. Less developed countries are countries considered to be poor and often contain many people who are in absolute poverty. Developing countries are countries like India, which are gaining in wealth. There are two types of poverty within the world.
When someone mentions the state of Africa the first thoughts that enter your mind is poverty, poor government structure, and hungry people. But that has not always been the case. This was a rich, resourceful and beautiful country. The picture of pre-colonial Africa is much different than our ideals of it today. We see it as a land stricken with poverty. The colonists saw it as a land with unlimited resources full of people that did not take, what they thought was full advantage of it's treasures. Europeans used agricultural and religious differences to create a gulf between them and the Africans. Using such differences Europe colonized Africa for the ever growing European market. The depletion of the African resources forced the people into a food crises. The only hope exists is the organization from within the rural class. Such organizations are fighting for basic human rights and others are coming together to make labor sharing possible.

According to Saunders (2005) what are the consequences of living in poverty? How does it affect children and family life?
The overriding challenge Uganda faces today is the curse of poverty. Poverty, ‘the lack of something”(“Poverty.”), something can be materials, knowledge, or anything one justifies as necessary to living. Associated with poverty is the question of what causes poverty and how to stop poverty? The poverty rate in Uganda has declined from the year 2002 from the year 2009, which shows the percent of residents living in poverty has decreasing. Yet, the year is 2014 and the poverty rate could have drastically changed over the course of five years. One could assume the poverty rate would continue to decrease, which would be astounding and beneficial, but does poverty ever decrease enough to an acceptable level or even nonexistence? Poverty is a complex issue that continues to puzzle people from all across the globe. Poverty could possible be a question that is never truly answered.

As developed countries quench their thirsts for petrol, developing countries around the world are left behind, force to watch on without any help from the outside community. Being poor means to be disadvantaged in every single way. It means not being able to support yourself or your family or have the basic necessity to life. Without substantial help for these helpless people then we should be feeling guilty that we are living lives far better than what others are experiencing. Poverty may because by wars, disease or lack of education and infrastructure and the resulting consequences may be hunger, starvation, crime and ultimately death. If poverty is not eradicated then injustice will continue, increasing death tolls and lives.
Within Kenya alone there are forty-eight ethnic groups (Collier, 2009, pg. 51). During the 2007 Kenyan Elections there were multiple candidates from differing ethnic ...
As agriculture has become more intensive, farmers have become capable of producing higher yields using less labour and less land. Growth of the agriculture has not, however, been an unmixed blessing. It, like every other thing, has its pros and cons. Topsoil depletion, groundwater contamination, the decline of family farms, continued neglect of the living and working conditions for farm labourers, increasing costs of production, and the disintegration of economic and social conditions in rural communities. These are the cons of the new improved agriculture.
On attaining independence in 1963, the inaugural Kenya government identified poverty illiteracy, disease and unemployment as the most debilitating of challenges facing the country. Almost five decades later, despite numerous policy efforts, these challenges continue to enslave many Kenyans. The situation is even more debilitating when one is a youth. According to the Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey , approximately 67 per cent of the unemployed in the country are youth.
Over one billion people are living in poverty, lacking safe water, housing, food, and the ability to read. There is a high concentration of communities in poverty in Africa particularly Central Africa. States that are considered in Central Africa are the following: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Republic of Africa, Chad, Equatorial Guinea and the Congo. The majority of these Central African states’ economies are dependent on agriculture. As a result of this dependency, natural disasters, droughts and wars can displace subsistence farmers from their land, resulting in poverty becoming even more prevalent and harder to come back from.
Poverty is one of the greatest problems facing South Africa. South African families live in very unsatisfactory conditions. The South African government works hard to bring down the rate of poverty but it also seems to increase as they try.
