There are many types of computers to choose from and it all depends on the person and on the purpose of their use. Some people may use them to make presentations, create websites, type papers, browse on the Internet, and play games. As a matter of fact there are many people that when it becomes to buy a computer they don’t know what to buy because of the huge variety and options that is out there. Here I will be comparing An Apple MacBook Pro and a Windows Dell XPS Ultrabook Touch.
People tend to buy the MacBook pro because is one of the most portable and powerful computers Apple has. This is the perfect computer for graphic designs, videos editing and Internet surfing. Its long battery life, beautiful design and user-friendly interface makes it one of the most preferred computers now days.

...pdate the Microsoft Office that often, they still have Microsoft Office 2011.
Now, I have three years with a MacBook pro and I haven’t had any problems with this computer. The computer still runs like the first day I bought it. Before doing this research I never though I was going to be surprise about all the great features that I found about the Dell XPS 13 Inch Ultrabook Touch. One of the things that really surprise about the Dell is that you can talk to it and it will do what you ask. Another thing that I like about this computer is the Microsoft Office system because it allows me to do all my school work with an advance writing system.

An analysis of Mycerinus and Kha-merer-nebty II and Augustus of Primaporta, reveals that there are many similarities, but also many differences between these two pieces of sculpture. These similarities and differences are found in the subject, style, and function of both works of art.
Prince Henry of Portugal, more commonly known as Henry the Navigator, and Zheng He, a successful Chinese admiral, were both extremely accomplished men throughout the 14th and 15th centuries. During this era, many accomplished explorers ventured out into the ocean and discovered new lands, two of the most important men being Henry the Navigator and Zheng He. Although both men came from different backgrounds, their contrasting societies and structures affected the way in which they regarded economic and political expansion and also their contact with other cultures. Societies like the Chinese and Portuguese had many cultural differences such as their different religions. The Chinese practiced neo-Confucianism whereas the Portuguese were Christians which was one of the many purposes of their exploration, to spread Christianity. There were also many cultural similarities between the two societies such as their long lasting histories and their explorer’s curiosity to seek out to new lands, which resulted the two societies in having different views on economic and political expansion and contact with other cultures. Both Confucian and Christian ideologies favored those who worked over the wealthy. Thus, to a larger extent, the structures and values of a society have an extensive impact on the way people view economic and political expansion and contact with other cultures.
Vladek and Guido use their skills and intelligence to endure a genocide that killed over 6 million Jews and 11 million people in total. Although sadly Guido did not make it through the Holocaust, his wife Dora and Son Giosué survived, thanks to the help of Guido. Vladek survived by using his many talents in the prison camps whereas Guido survived by his cunning intelligence and positive attitude. In the Books Maus I and II by Art Spiegelman, the author uses his fathers story of survival to create a book that unleashes vivid imagery of Vladeks time in Auschwitz, in addition to how it has affected him since. In the movie Life Is Beautiful Directed by Roberto Benigni, Guido was an average Jewish man living in Italy. When his family got taken to a Natzi death camp he managed to keep his son Giosué hidden, while doing so he jeopardized his own life. Both of these works display two brave men withstanding the worst race extermination in history.
Some people think that if they could only change one aspect of their lives, it would be perfect. They do not realize that anything that is changed could come with unintended consequences. “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs and “The Third Wish” by Joan Aiken both illustrate this theme. They demonstrate this by granting the main character three wishes, but with each wish that is granted, brings undesirable consequences. The main idea of this essay is to compare and contrast “The Monkey’s Paw” and “The Third Wish.” Although the “The Monkey’s Paw” and “The Third Wish” are both fantasies and have similar themes, they have different main characters, wishes, and resolutions.
While some differences between Ventura College and the colleges that Andrew Hacker and Claudia Dreifus wrote about in their essay are evident, the similarities are salient. Ventura College meets the characteristics that Hacker and Dreifus described in their essay, Ventura College has a low tuition rates, small class sizes, and all students have access to counselors and instructors. The only difference between Ventura College and the colleges that Hacker and Dreifus talked about is funding. Ventura College doesn’t cost a lot of money to attend, but is experience it provides actually worth the price?
The MacBook Pro has a solid-state drive with 1TB SSD which is just what I needed to save the many files and pictures I have. What is great about the solid-state drive is that it is faster to transfer energy, can use less power than hard drives do, don’t make noise and can be more reliable because they’re not mechanical. A fast-hard drive is just what I needed to open my school assignments and surf the web. The MacBook Pro has a RAM of 16GB which is a good amount for me. Having sufficient RAM means my computer will run much faster and that is just what I need. The last thing I will be talking about is the number of cores, clock speed and battery
For the people that desire a device that excels in specific criteria, whether that might be performance (computer gamers), portability, or price there are other devices meant for those purposes. Research has shown that most people would prefer a well-rounded device that can meet a variety of criteria with minimal compromise. The fact that the MacBook Air has met these criteria while still being compatible with other devices and programs is what makes it the best laptop. While it is unknown where technology is going, it is safe to say that Apple will continue to hold its place at the top. While other companies have tired to make a similar product, no one has made a true comparison to the MacBook Air.
All might think that a PC is awesome, but is not called Windows for nothing. When they say Windows they mean Windows. Macintosh has been known for it’s simplicity. Windows users say Mac has no games. I say to them there are games, but if you want to “play games” get a game system. Macs give a new vision in the computer industry.
Windows based computers are more practical, easier to use, and more versatile than Macintosh computers. There has always been much debate over which is the better system. There are people who are die-hard Macintosh users, and there are people who are the complete opposite, and naturally people sitting somewhere in between. The fact remains that the majority of home and business users own Windows based systems because of their versatility in all areas.
Overall I would recommend the Macbook Pro to anyone. It has so many more great features other than the portability, battery, the multi purpose mouse, and the speed/ performance of the programs. I would recommend to them that upgrading to the matte screen would be worth the extra pretty pennies.
For those of you that still stuck in windoze land, have no fear; Mac OSX is here. As a 6-year user of Bill Gate's Windows, making the move to the Mac's creative user-interface was easy. I've been using Mac's throughout my whole life, but only come to enjoy it since OSX was released. OSX is jam-packed with matrix like features, the best pre-bundled software, and boyish good looks.
Apple and Microsoft are one of the biggest computer systems known to man. Both are very different from each other that attract many people. Apple offers unique products and gadgets within the device. It comes with a variety of different things that have multiple positive items. Apple is clearly a better choice when it comes to electronic devices.
...ucial part in our everyday lives. Yes, students can choose a MacBook Pro or Air over a PC, even a Chrome Book, but for students looking for budget-friendly computers (trust me, there's thousands of them) I bet you that they will choose a Windows 8 or Windows 7 laptop.
Personal computers have been advertised and purchased by consumers for years. It seems every time we look up there’s a new one with even more advanced technology and features than the last. Over time it can be difficult to keep up with them all, so we may purchase one ever so often or when we have the money to do so. It’s even hard to believe that a PC advertised 5 years ago as the new and trending thing looks like a dinosaur compared to what we have today. In this paper I will be comparing two PC’s (one older and the other newer) and discussing some of their differences, comparisons, features, etc. Were there any similarities between the two? How are they different? And what do newer technologies like PC’s have to offer that older ones don’t?
I cannot forget how excited I was when I first bought my own computer. Like a mother who spends time sewing and knitting for her newborn baby, I spent hours and hours to sparkle my computer. I waited a long time to buy a brand new computer. I had to work more hours and saved money to buy a computer. I did not want to buy a cheap computer, but I wanted to buy a professional one. Was I professional on computer? No! I was not. I did not even know how to type, but I was sure that my expensive com puter could make me a computer expert. 17 inches monitor, color printer, two speakers and well-designed fancy keyboard made me just happy by looking at them on my desk.
