Imagine a world in which anyone can be anything, there are no limitations or discriminations against anyone, that sure does sound like a utopia. Zootopia, starring Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin, features a utopia-esque city in which this world is a reality, but all of the citizens are animals. Zootopia is an adventure, comedy, mystery, animation all at once, following the main characters as they maintain the peace in the city of both predators and prey. Zootopia follows Judy Hopps, a bunny who grew up with the dream of becoming the first bunny police officer. Her dream is revealed to the audience in the first scene in which she is presenting to her peers and family, she conveys the message that at one point predators and prey did not live in harmony, but thanks to evolution all mammals are …show more content…

After making that point she states that she would like to be a police officer, and that she would like to carry out her dream in a faraway city, Zootopia. Following her presentation Judy heads outside to her towns fair where she encounters a fox that has stolen one of her friends fair tickets. Taking on the role of a police officer, she demands that the fox return the tickets to her friend but Judy is stricken down in the process. When the fox walks away she reveals to her friends that she had gotten the tickets, that being the last we see of Judy in her youth. Later on Judy departs her small hometown and heads into Zootopia to begin police academy training, her surpassing her classmates through after she learns how to cope with her smaller than favorable stature. She achieves her dream of becoming the first ever bunny graduate of the academy and becomes the first ever bunny on the police force. She makes headlines because of this and at this point the “anyone can be anything” motto really plays out. But, it is not all sunshine and flowers forever.
