You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown On Sunday March 5, 2017, I attended the play You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. I have always been a fan of the Peanuts comic strips and cartoon movies, so I went into this play experience with high expectations. After leaving the theatre, I was highly satisfied with the actors’ performance, the music from the band off to the side, and the spectacle that included the lights and scenery. There were only a couple minor things I did not like I always picture Charlie Brown as a bald headed little boy with one little curly hair, but the actor portraying Charlie Brown had a full head of hair and I always believed that Schroeder had one of the deeper voices of the peanuts characters, but in this particular performance his voice was very high and squeaky to me. Keep in mind, I did say that the negatives of the play were very miniscule. Besides those two minor setback, the entire play was enjoyable. The band and actors were synchronized very well during the performance. If an actor on stage started running, the music became faster; however, the music would also slow down during slow moments. The music did not only change with the pace of the performance, but also signified the changing of time. When a scene would change and signify a change of time, the band would begin to play music that resembled the sound of a clock ticking. The clock sounding music made it easier to pretend that a significant amount of time had changed right in front of us. The way the music was implemented was great, but the quality of music might be what made it so effective. The band was so smooth with the way they played, and they never messed up once.
