West way to Yellowstone National Park
Trip Theme
This trip starts from Denver, Colorado to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. “Natural landform” is the main theme for this trip. I will explore the mystery of geothermal features in Yellowstone National Park.
Yellowstone National Park, a national park mostly located in Wyoming, on March 1, 1872 U.S. President You Lixi Simpson Grant Adams signed the bill passed by Congress after the establishment of the world's first national park. Yellowstone National Park, its abundant wildlife species and geothermal resources famous Old Faithful geyser is one of the most famous attractions. “Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism.”(Geothermal Features and How They Work. National Park Service, February 17, 2007 retrieved). Especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most famous landscapes in the park. It also has many types of ecosystems.
Geothermal energy is thermal energy generated and stored in the Earth. Thermal energy is the energy that determines the temperature of matter. Due to this effect, it widely impact lives and cultures around its area. During winter, temperatures of the whole Yellowstone will drop to 0 degree Fahrenheit, and the snow thickness reaches 20 inches. In addition, an elevation of 7,733 feet (2,357 m) above sea level forms rarefied air in Yellowstone area. All of these show a severe circumstance for any plants or animals. However, geothermal energy in Yellowstone changes this condition.

...s. Trail along the northern and southern edges of the canyon leads to, but on the road, the entire trail one day be possible, it makes for a long and tiring day. Best to make it two short (1-3 hours) day hikes. If you're a photo buff, plan your walking and other sun lit up the big picture across.
Last but not the least significant stop is Fishing Bridge. Original bridge was built as a slightly different alignment than the current rough corduroy bridge plank bridge in 1902. Existing bridge was built in 1937. Fishing Bridge is historically very popular place for fishing. Fishing from the bridge was quite good, due to the fact that this is a major cutthroat trout spawning area. Because of the population decline of cruelty (part, the result of this practice) is, however, the bridge was closed to fishing in 1973. Since then, it has become a popular place to observe fish.
