The main ideas in page 40 to 50 talk about Winston's work was to correct the wrong messages from the pass and putted them in the pneumatic tubes. Also he destroyed those original message by the flames. The purpose was that the corrections made the Party’s saying was always right. Winston was disappointed by making fake messages. He thought that those fake messages did not even connect any real things in life. Then Winston looked across the hall; he saw a man , Tillotson. Winston did not know any about him because all people who were worked in the Records Department did not really talk about their jobs. Winston could not recognize everyone in his working place, he just knew that they were working every day and gesticulating in the Two Minutes
