QUEENSLAND WINE
Ever wondered what grapes grow the best in sunny QLD? You’re not the only one! Some actually believe that great wine doesn't come from Queensland as you don’t see a lot of it in bottle shops or overseas. This is far from the truth as Queensland produces award-winning wine year after year. The only reason you don’t see Queensland wine as much as some of our other states, is because almost all of the wineries in QLD are boutique and family owned and operated – which in our opinion, are the best kind of wineries! Boutique wineries do not have the capacity to mass-produce to sell to larger merchants, which is actually a great thing as ‘quality’ is their focus, rather than ‘quantity’ like larger commercial wineries. Winemakers from boutique wineries will see the grapes from start to finish. Grapes are handpicked - not machine picked. There is no need for them to add all the preservatives and cut costs as much as possible like some commercial wineries that are often bought out by large corporations that have no background in winemaking.

AWARDS Queensland is often in the spotlight for their unique and interesting wine varieties. Our most famous wine judge and critic in Australia, James Halliday awards many Queensland wineries as 5 star wineries in his book ‘The Wine Companion’ annually. Every single venue we visit on our tours are hand picked and award winning. We even visit two of ‘James Halliday 5 star wineries’ on our most popular Full Day Wine Tour. CLIMATE Guess what? Although QLD is a warmer state in general, most of our growing regions in QLD are considered cool climate wine regions. Our largest region ‘the Granite Belt’ sometimes even snows in winter. A lot of the wineries on Tamborine Mountain will actually source many of their grape varieties from these cooler regions in Queensland, thus producing cooler climate wines –
Sydney is situated in zone of the subtropical oceanic climate which characterized by moderately hot summers and moderately warm winter. This climate conditions very favorable for people, animals and plants habitation. How we can see in the table "Mean Daily Temperatures", temperature does not fall below zero. It is congenially for agriculture, especially sowing corn. More than half of the arable land is occupied by wheat. In addition, people grow citrus, pineapples, mangoes and sugarcane.

The aim of Port Arthur was to produce useful goods and useful citizens, reformed men who have rejected a life of crime and embraced a law-abiding future. It was known for its tough punishment and structure. This essay will discuss the daily life at Port Arthur for convicts, punishments convicts received, trades that were practiced there and the merchandise that was created through those trades and what become of Port Arthur after transportation finished.

Absinthe has been a topic of great consternation in both social and artistic realms for generations. The green liqueur dates back to Greek and Roman times and is even mentioned in the Bible, but it has still managed to earn a negative reputation over the past one hundred years. Nineteenth century society as a whole enjoyed and drank absinthe. It, and the controversy surrounding it, inspired many painters of the time such as Degas, Manet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Raffaelli, to create works featuring the drink. Even though it was a controversial substance, absinthe provided these artists with the inspiration and motivation needed to create some, if not a majority of, their works.
Wine was a royal drink that kings use to drink, it was extracted from Vineyards. One of the oldest-known winery was discovered in the "Areni-1" cave in “Vayots Dzor”, Armenia. Since then wine was flourished all across the world. From a local consumption Wine became an International trading commodity. The older the wine the costlier it sells. Most of the wines are stored in wooden barrels, as it enhances the taste and colour of the wine.
Red liquid sweet but bitter, the taste leaves the drinker wanting more. It's been a long hard week, and waiting at home for you is a nice bottle of red wine from one of the best local wineries. Wine has been around since about 6600 BC; and slowly but surely it grew to become one of the most money making industry in Sonoma County, wine itself. When looking and hearing at economic growth or impact, the main topics that are talked about are climate change, college, or even sports. Little do we know that wine has had impacted the growth in Sonoma County. Throughout this paper we will be looking at the history of wine, and the impact of wine in Sonoma county.
Everyone is a part of a community. Most people are a part of multiple communities. A community is a group of people that have a commonality. Sometimes it is based on where you live, hobbies, goals, etc. I believe that communities are created unconsciously and are connected to someone’s identity, especially when a person is considered a part of multiple communities. Sometimes, a person may connect very well with their community. Sometimes, a person may feel very distant from their community. In the movie, “English Vinglish”, the main character, Sashi, shows examples on how communities are created through commonalities, and the acculturation theory. Sashi was a part of multiple communities. A few communities included her, her Daughter’s school,
