The Creation and Elimination
Before man and woman were ever constituted, enormous monsters that stood over forty-feet-high with sharp teeth, enormous feet, and furfuraceous skin roamed the Earth. A certain group who meandered around were not sinister monsters at all. These creatures tried to keep to themselves and avert from the monsters that could attack them. The monsters acquired the name Giant Devils while the ones who were not harmful called themselves Peaceful Ones. They are known as the first dwellers of the earth. But only one group of them would remain.
The Peaceful Ones varied in size, discordant to the Giant Devils. Some of them were puny, as miniscule as a dandelion. Some were just as massive as the Giant Devils, if not more sizable. The Peaceful Ones only ate very small amounts of meat, herbs, grasses, fruits, leaves, and other plants. They did not believe it was morally right to kill others to fulfill their hunger. They tried their best to become companions with every

tranquil dinosaur they came across. On the other hand, the Giant Devils were nefarious, ruthless dinosaurs. They tore into any dinosaur they caught a glimpse of, sometimes even their own kind. All Giant Devils walked at towering heights with great, elongated legs and massive heads that are filled with acrimony and sharp teeth. Their favorite prey was the Peaceful Ones. Eventually, the Peaceful Ones had enough. Watching their population diminish because of cold-blooded, insensitive monsters was causing them pain and apprehension. They worried that the entire population of the Peaceful Ones was going to go extinct if they did not intervene. Although they all thought the same thing, only one Peaceful One spoke up. Her name was Com. Short for her dinosaur name, Compsognathus, she was one of the smallest dinosaurs of them all. She was only two-feet-long and weighed about six pounds. She was enraged and dismal because of the Giant Devils. Com was the witness to one of them kill her entire family after she managed to slip out of the grasp of death. Com wanted revenge, and she was resolute to get it. Com started by planning a meeting of all Peaceful Ones to the water where they quenched their thirst. They called the water The Waters of Unity. She ordered that all Peaceful Ones go to The Waters of Unity for an emergency. Every Peaceful One left that was lucky enough not to meet the jaws of a Giant Devil made their way to the water. Everyone was unaware that Com was very canny and had a knack for experimenting. She knew how to build a fire, shelters, weapons, and other things that most dinosaurs did not know was possible, or even knew existed. Com had a complex, intelligent mind for being so small and prone to crisis. Com’s plan was to go extraordinary with her experiments. She had an idea to build a creature that could destroy the Giant Devils. She wanted to use an old, magic, potion that was passed down many generations of Peaceful Ones. When it was handed to her from her mother, she was told it would be able to rid the world of corruption, if used correctly. The potion's directions were quite laborious. In order for it to be effective, a drop of every Peaceful One’s blood needed to be mixed into the potion. So, while at the meeting, Com had every dinosaur give one drop of blood to her. The next part of the directions were to add in three special plants. The first plant was very prevalent and grew thickly on the land. It was called Bacopa. It grew very green and had small, white flowers. The next plant was a little more troublesome to locate. It is called Hawkweed and grows fairly lanky with a yellow flower at its tip. Com had to climb very far to get this plant. She heard rumors of it being plentiful at the top of one of the tallest mountains in the land. Com’s size came into an advantage while climbing the salient rocks and vines. Her nimbleness and quick motions helped her ascend to the plants briefly, but her her size also made her vulnerable. The last plant was going to be the biggest confrontation of them all. The Corpse flower was needed to complete the mixture and formulate the humans. This would start a long, treacherous journey into dangerous grounds for Com and her friends. The only place the Corpse flower cultivated was located was on the Giant Devil's residence. Com assembled a gallant, audacious team to help her attain the Corpse flower. She made sure to get a diverse group of Peaceful Ones so that they would be capable of many things. The big dinosaurs would be advantageous for defense and when reaching high places was necessary. The small ones would be useful for getting places rapidly and fitting into small places unseen. After making their plans to get to the flower cautiously, they set out on their foolhardy journey. The plan was to approach the mountain that separated the Peaceful Ones and the Giant Devils and climb it to get to the other side. Then, they would follow the trail that would lead them straight to the flower. The problem with the trail, however, is that it was the main trail for the Giant Devils. They used this trail to travel everywhere they go. It was almost impractical to get across without getting discovered. But, as always, Com had a plan. Her scheme was to only send the small Peaceful Ones on the trail, including herself. They would leave behind the big Peaceful Ones, and if they needed assistance from them, they would run back for defense. Climbing up the mountain was no problem to most of the Peaceful Ones. The big ones had the most trouble because of their size. They became exhausted quickly and wanted to give up, but Com enlivened them to keep going. After a full two days of trekking on, they conquered the mountain and approached the trail. At first, they hid behind the bushes and trees to make sure there were no Giant Devils around. As soon as they saw that there was no one on wandering the trail, Com restated the plan and the small ones embarked on their journey to the Corpse Flower. The trail was only a few miles long, and the Corpse Flower was at the very end of the trail. After about one mile in, Com heard boisterous footsteps coming their way. “Into the bushes, now!” she frantically whispered. They all jumped into the closest bush they could find. Com peeked out of the bush carefully. Com saw the ginormous monster making its way down the trail, one colossal step at a time. Once the Giant Devil approached the bush they were hiding in, he stopped, sniffed and looked around, then continued on. Although shaken by seeing something so much more massive than themselves, Com and her squad continued on. After the rush of almost getting discovered, Com decided that it would be best if they traveled on the sides of the trail in the tall grasses. This way, if they needed to hide again, it would be much more uncomplicated and fretful. When they were approaching the second mile of the expedition, they heard emphatic noises, but not from footsteps.
These noises sounded like lips smacking, flesh tearing, and painful groans. Com turned, looked at her group, and motioned them to be mute and walk nonchalantly. She quietly pushed her way through a forest of grasses to see that one Giant Devil was making a meal of another. The victim was still alive, but barely. Being too distracted by his meal, the Giant Devil failed to noticed the Peaceful Ones walking past.
After a lengthy, stressful journey of sneaking around and being as muffled as possible, Com could finally lay eyes on the Corpse Flower. It was the only one of its kind in the whole land. Before stepping out on the trail to get to the flower, Com looked around, making sure no one was around. After not seeing a single Giant Devil, she told the rest that it was clear. They then all decided that only one should go get the flower. They all settled that it should be
Com. An inconceivable happiness arose in Com as she walked toward the flower. Soon, there would be no torment to her kind from the monsters that invaded their homes and families. Soon, the world would be a much more pleasant place. She was standing right before the flower, mesmerized. The flower was much bigger than Com, and had a very tall, yellow, rod-like mystery sticking out of the top, with a burst of color at the bottom. Com reached out, ready to knock the flower over and break off bits of it to put into the potion. But, something was wrong. Com could sense it, but didn’t know what it was until she felt heavy, heated breathing down her back. Com knew what was about to happen because, at the thought of it, her spine shivered as she turned around. Com became face to face with the biggest Giant Devil she had ever seen. They must have been the protector of the Corpse Flower. The Giant Devil then raised its foot to try and smash Com, but she dashed away just in time. Com needed that flower, and she was going to get it. She ran like the wind away from the monster. She rushed through the trees and bushes, trying to get out of sight so that she would not become the monster’s next meal. Com looked back, searching for her team, only to find that they had fled in fear of the Giant Devil. She realized had been abandoned. Com knew that she needed to get to the flower, even if it meant sacrificing herself to the monster. She made a sharp turn away from the Giant Devil, running back to the flower. All she needed was at least two pieces of the yellow mystery that emerged from the flower. Very hastily, Com got to the flower. With the Giant Devil right behind her, she was most likely going to get caught. Com looked frantically for aid, and in the near distance, she saw the big Peaceful Ones running towards her. Her team ran back to get help, following the plan. Peaceful Ones and Giant Devils have never fought before. The Peaceful Ones always surrendered because they are much weaker and anemic. But, the first battle between the Big Peaceful Ones and the Giant Devils was about to take place. One of the big ones with a very long neck charged at the monster and swung his neck at him. He hit the Giant Devil, knocking him back a few steps. Filled with rage, the Giant Devil roared with influence and started running towards the big Peaceful Ones, thinking he could take them all at once. Com stared at the dinosaurs fighting, worried that her friends and family were going to meet their maker. She then turned back to the flower, picking off as many bits as her frail hands could handle. Com set them next to the potion that was waiting to be completed. A giant foot landed right beside Com as she was working, so she started laboring faster. Right next to her, the Giant Devil and the most substantial Peaceful One of the group were going head to head. The Peaceful One was scratched and bleeding in many places. But, so was the Giant Devil. They both were getting weaker and weaker. Com yelled at her friend to keep fighting, and she began to mix in the bits. As Com was mixing in the bits of the flower, something bittersweet happened. The Peaceful One that was fighting the Giant Devil succeeded and killed it. But, as the Giant Devil was toppling down to the ground, blood spilled out of its wounds and into the potion. Blood from the Giant Devils was not intended to be a part of the mixture. Com started panicking. What was going to happen? About ten seconds after the blood dissolved in the potion, it started to glow with radiance. Everybody watched in wonder and awe, as the potion started to mysteriously grow. It started to raise up off of the ground in a figure that had two legs, two arms, and a head with two eyes, a mouth, and a nose. Then, more figures started to grow from the potion, but they wouldn’t stop burgeoning. They grew and grew until they were almost as tall as the Giant Devils. They had chiseled muscles and seemed very neutral. After about thirty minutes of watching these creatures flourish, it stopped. The glowing disappeared and the figure’s features were able to be seen very clearly. They started to glimpse around at their surroundings, and once they saw each other, they started talking in a language the Peaceful Ones could not understand. When the mysterious, beastly creatures seen the gawking Peaceful Ones, they started to run at them with anger. The blood from the Giant Devils sparked something wrong in the potion, causing the creatures to be vicious and want to murder everything in their sight. The Peaceful Ones tried to run away, but even Com’s speed could not compare with the new creatures that the potion made. In curiosity, Giant Devils came to see what all the fuss was about, and they started to get chased too. One by one, dinosaurs were being attacked and killed by the vicious creatures. They were only supposed to rid the world of evil, meaning the Giant Devils. But, they were killing the Peaceful Ones too. Com was ravaged at what she invented. Her creation was killing her kind, her family, and her friends. There was nothing she could do about it because Com was just as defenseless as everyone else. Soon enough, every single dinosaur was wiped out. The only thing left was the land of the Giant Devils, the land of the Peaceful Ones, and the new inhabitants. These new creatures realized that they would now reside on the land and start a new civilization. They talked amongst each other and worked together to build towns and villages. These new creatures became peaceful and reproduced to create more. After some time, they made a name for themselves. They called themselves humans or people. They never became extinct, and kept on creating new villages and discovering new land. Because of Com and her creation, the world became known and densely populated by humans. Because of Com, we have the world we live in today.
In society, there have always been different roles in defining the boundaries between right and wrong; Monsters take a big part of that role. In Jeffrey Cohen’s “Monster Culture,” Cohen explains seven theses which provide a clearer explanation of how monsters take a part in establishing these boundaries. The oldest Anglo-Saxon story written- “Beowulf”- provides three different monsters which all connect to Cohen’s seven theses. In the older version, however, the monsters do not relate to humans in any way, except that they are enemies. The modern version of Beowulf portrays Grendel’s mother to still be evil but also have relations with the humans in the story.
Across different works like Virgil’s Aeneid and Aeschylus’ Eumenides, In these representations of monsters, the initial relationship between gods and monsters is simple: all monsters derived from the gods. However, as soon as distinguishing features set the monsters apart, they prove Clay’s point that monsters are seen as threats who need to be contained and whose powers need to be exploited by the gods. The close reading of both texts reveal the relationship between gods and monsters along with the power structures between
Was it a gift or a curse? The Nile is the world's longest river at 4,160 miles. Of that total, approximately 660 to 700 miles of the Nile are actually in Egypt. It is one of the four most important river civilizations in the world. Land in Egypt was called Black Land (representing life) and Red Land (representing danger). For Egyptians, the Nile meant the difference between life and death. Today, we know that the Nile influenced ancient Egypt in many areas of life such as providing food, shelter and faith to the people. Specific areas dealing with settlement location, agricultural cycle, jobs, trade, transportation and spiritual beliefs will prove the case.
...rs were and still are very active, but how we decide to define these monsters is changing. As our understanding of these monsters becomes clearer, our perception of the monsters will change. In his article and book chapter Monsters and the Moral Imagination and chapter 5 of On Monsters, Stephen Asma suggests that monstrosity, as we know it, is on the rise as humans progress and how we perceive monsters can often define monstrosities in itself, providing evidence of reasons why monster cultures are on the rise, and showing how human progress has evolved our perception of how we think on the topic that is monsters.
There was a period of time, before the appearance of Europeans on the continent, that the Nephilim did not have this “rule” or “compulsion” to keep their existence hidden from humans. The Bigfoot were known to the Native Americans by many names. Legends and lore sprang up from the Native American’s interaction with the Bigfoot. The Native Americans always considered them to be a “society” or “tribe.” The relationship the Bigfoot tribes had with the Native Americans was precarious at best. Many Native American tribes described the Bigfoot as cannibals, mountain devils, kidnappers, rapist, and thieves.
Around 3500 B.C.E to 3000 B.C.E., civilizations emerged in many places. Egypt and Mesoamerica are distinctive two of them. Considering the different aspects of civilization, historians can find some same characteristics and differences which are valuable for historians to understand civilization in-depth.
I beheld the wretch---the miserable monster whom I had created. He held up the curtain of the bed; and his eyes, if eyes they may be called, were fixed on me. His jaw opened, and he muttered some inarticulate sounds, while a grin wrinkled his cheeks. He might have spoken, but I did not hear; one hand was stretched out, seemingly to detain me, but I escaped and rushed downstairs (Shelley, p. 43).
The shrill screaming that rose before the beast was like a pain. The beast stumbled into the horseshoe. Kill the beast. Cut his throat. Spill his blood.
Aliens built the Egyptian pyramids. Recent research supports the theory that the Pyramids were built long before humans inhabited the area now known as Egypt. It is also nearly impossible for the Egyptians to have lifted and moved the limestone brick used to build these massive structures. Only a more advanced form of life could have constructed such an enormous undertaking, while using advanced mathematics and geography that were not yet known to ancient peoples.
In addition, these devils are carnivores. These animals can also be scavengers. Although some people would expect them to be

Has it ever crossed your mind that the oldest and only surviving of the Seven Wonders of the World was built in times that predated any modern technology? Doesn't it seem almost impossible? There are three Pyramids of Giza, the first one was commissioned in Ancient Egypt by the Pharaoh Khufu, around the year 2540 BCE. They are located in Giza, Egypt, and take on this name. Standing 488 ft tall, they were once the tallest buildings in the world, for many hundreds of years. The site is one of the most famous worldwide, receiving millions of tourists each year. The Pyramid of Giza is extremely significant because of its enormous scale and the many people needed to construct it, along with the methods used to do so.
One of the greatest cultural successes of Ancient Egypt was certainly in their architecture related with religion. Fumeaux mention, "Temples, tombs and pyramids - all have witnessed this earth for thousands of years. What better than to say that these architectural achievements show us that Egypt's greatest virtue lay in its architecture"[1]
