Introduction
From time immemorial, women have played a vital role in shaping the world. Nonetheless, in many countries, they are still not given equal opportunities in the workforce as they are considered as the weaker sex. In the modern world, many women are enjoying freedoms to work just like men in the society. They have taken many professions despite the existing discriminations and it is time for them to stand up and fight for their rights to work.
Thesis statement: Women should be given equal opportunities with men in the workforce as well as be allowed to hold important positions in the society for they have rights to work. Women should be fully accepted to take on more …show more content…

Every woman has a right to work just like a man has, and therefore, they should be given equal rights to work for profit. In addition, the International human rights law has outlined multiple provisions that protect the social and economic rights of women and therefore, women should be allowed to enjoy their rights to work. According to Kinnear, women are only able to enjoy their right to equality within social and economic spheres when they are given rights to work (118).
II. Women should be given rights to work because; they are just like any other male workers.
Most women work very hard to support their families, and therefore, if denied these rights, they will not be able to take part in taking care of their families. Moreover, according to Goldin all people have the right to free choice of employment, the right to work under favorable conditions and the right to protection against unemployment and these rights apply also to women (20). Therefore, it is clear that women have rights to work without any discrimination because they also have a duty to fulfill to their families financially.
