Mark Twain, famous author, was quoted as saying "If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything." No every teenager can be honest by saying the truth of a small or big thing , so instead they lie about it to not have problems and make an excuse of it.Teenagers lie about small or big things because they don’t want to get in a problems or get in trouble over them lying or even an excuse.
First of all, teenagers lie about small or big things because they don’t want to get in trouble over something they did. They lie to cover their tracks over something they did, to get out of something they don’t want to do, or to protect other people. For example, a friend of mine lied to his parents awhile back and told them that he didn’t have any homework so he could come over to my house. He lied to not do his homework so he could come over and play at my house. Additionally, so people lied over something …show more content…

They lie and try to make something else up as if they were actually saying the truth. For instance, an old friend of mine that moved lied to his teacher about his homework, so he told her a lie that he was busy and could do it but he was actually playing video games all day. He was playing all day so he didn’t do his homework but he lied to his teacher that he was busy with some family stuff. Similarly, my sister once lied to my mom about her going to watch a soccer game, but instead she went with her boyfriend to party. Teenagers just lied to make an excuse of anything or lied saying they are telling the truth to someone. They use lies as a way to get out of a situation.
Ultimately, as a teenager lies they use them lies as a way out of something big or small. Most teenagers lied to cover up their tracks, get out of something they don’t want to do, or to protect another person. How would the world will be if it was full of lying
