Introduction: Age Does Not Matter
Music is for everyone.
When American poet from the 19th century Henry Wadsworth Longfellow mentioned in his poems that music is the universal language of the mankind. He really has no idea that without music, this world may never be how it was today. A human being appreciates music even before he was born in this world. The sounds and rhythms around even inside womb are music to the baby inside it. The sounds of the wind, the rain, the waves and even the clanking of metals and drums were music to the ears. The sound that a finger make tipping on the piano keys are music to the ears.
One may find it hard to sing a song or two. But, by simply humming a

It’s sound so pure by a touch of a finger has been in existence for well over a hundred years and is the foundation for creating music. It’s black and white keys produce sounds when played correctly that can bring tears to one’s eyes, touch your heart and soul, bring hope, or even joy and laughter to an event. All of this power… lies in the piano. The piano from its creation to this very second had transformed the world of music no matter what class, talent, and ability.
“Sometimes I can only groan, and suffer, and pour out my despair at the piano!” a quote from Frederic Chopin. Similar to Chopin, a copius amount of musicians utilized their instruments of choice in order to express their emotions or feelings. During the Baroque Period both the clavichord and the harpsichord reigned as the most popular keyboard instrument of choice. However, by the end of the Baroque Period the piano had replaced both keyboards as being the most popular and widely used (Verotta). The piano has been derived from the harpsichord and the clavichord which had evolved continuously through the combined effort of keyboard makers.
when you first sit down at a piano, it can be quite overwhelming. It is not an easy instrument to learn, especially if you want to achieve an advanced level. The piano takes a lot of time and effort to master, but if you do, it is more than worth it. The piano is one of the most beautiful sounding, and versatile instruments ever created.
The correlation between music and individuals is a very heavily researched topic. This literature review will critically evaluate the claim made by Don Campbell (1997, p.24) that ‘playing Mozart makes babies smarter’. This review will look at the history of the Mozart effect and also look at a range of sources that support and also go against the claim that the Mozart effect makes babies smarter. These claims will be analysed through the three main measurements in relation the Mozart effect these are spatial reasoning, arousal and also mood.
Some people say that playing an instrument is boring and takes too much time, but it can be very exciting to learn. Joshua Bell, a famous violin player said, “I associate music with fun and joy” (“Joshua Bell Quotes”). Therefore, as musicians play more and more, music becomes easier and more entertaining; people experience a big sense of achievement when they are finally able to master a song or finish a recital (Estrella). Some people also say that playing a musical instrument is expensive, but the price is definitely worth it. If one keeps practicing and working diligently, playing an instrument will become more enjoyable, and besides, you can even play an instrument to earn money. There are some cheaper instruments like guitars, recorders, and even small keyboards that are all less than one hundred dollars. Playing an instrument can be an enjoyable activity with benefits that outweigh the

The piano is an amazing instrument used all over the world to express one’s feelings, emotions, and talent. The piano is used for entertainment, but for many, it’s used in a personal way to express feelings in a musical way. Obviously each musical instrument is unique to their own time period and no doubt the piano has been around for a while. It has gone through many changes in it’s time- changing along with the modern music of the day. I believe the piano has adapted over the years more so than other instruments. Reviewing how and when the piano changed as well as the modern piano is a great way to appreciate its worth and uniqueness.
In those days, I never got to see the importance of having those lessons, practicing for hours, and even playing those tunes. As much as I tried, I could never find a way to enjoy it; it was no more than some never-ending horrible homework for me. But today, I thank my teacher for forcing me to appreciate the art of music. Now, I can easily list playing the piano as one of the most refreshing aspects of my life. Whenever I feel down, I always have the chance to be up in clouds after a couple of minutes. Swaying back and forth, I can surrender myself to the soothing tunes and get lost in the harmony. I believe very few people have that kind of luxury and I'm absolutely grateful for that.
“Whenever human beings come together for any reason, music is there,” according to neuroscientist Daniel J Levitin in This Is Your Brain on Music. (Levitin, 2006) Lee et.al. (2012) mentioned that music appeared to have become embedded in our daily lives. From the moment we wake up, our day is filled with music ranging from our country’s national anthem to that song on radio that reminds us of how we are feeling about a person or an event, to one that got us dancing and singing at the end of a work day. Music penetrates almost every part of our lives: our rest, our entertainment, our education, and our worship.
I've always had a love-hate relationship with playing the piano since I started 13 years ago, but I wouldn't want to stop. I love the sounds that the instrument makes when you push down on keys, making melodic sounds that all come together. However, I loath the frustration that comes with learning a new piece and trying to perfect it. It's hard to not give up when you know that long, excruciating hours of practice will only get you past a few bars. But in the end, the satisfaction that comes when you've been able to put the entire song together is worth the
“Music gives a soul to Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
Imagine you are sitting on a bench, running your fingers along the smooth keys in front of you. Your body swaying to the gentle music as you play. The soft sound of the notes filling your mind, blocking out everything else. Playing the piano is an enjoyable, educational activity. I enjoy it because it is a challenge, I am able to express my emotions, and I can create my own music.
Learning to play any musical instrument, benefits an individual in all aspects of life, whether it 's academically, socially, physically, or emotionally. Instruments that were created to make musical sounds are categorized into five main groups; strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and keyboards. And all it takes is dedication and admiration in order to successfully learn how to play an instrument. I believe that musicians, those who have musical ability, have an advantage over other individuals who don 't have the knowledge to play an instrument. Becoming a musician will also open up so many opportunities that are undeniably gratifying.
Music is an essential part of life because of the expression it allows people to have, its entertainment, and its therapeutic ways for the world.
