College is a lively time to be in. We get some distance from our parents, and the freedom of being an adult. College is a place where people can be themselves. At least this is all advised when high schoolers go to college. It is when we step foot on campus as a freshman in college where we see that we cannot be ourselves. Halls of knowledge have deep dark secrets. They tend to take the core of a person and change them into loyal brothers and sisters of their organization(s). By doing so they go through these “rituals”. It’s only once the ritual turn into oppressing and hateful actions that it is called hazing. Hazing is very well known through all universities. It makes people feel like they are humiliated and hurt. Most people do not know what to do when it happens. Colleges should make the rituals/ traditions performed in the organizations have more discipline, equality, and freedom when it comes to the traditions of hazing within universities.
