Growing up my parents would always tell me that they knew I will become someone in life, and that they will always support me throughout any decision I made. Ever since I was a young girl, I had always been tremendously interested in the medical field. Everything about it really intrigued me. I would always see myself being someone working with patients and helping them out, to the best of my ability. One of the main reasons that I want to work in the medical field, is to help others because that brings the greatest joy to me. My parents did not have a good education because their parents were not able to afford it, unfortunately. Hearing what they had to say really motivated me to pursue my dream, because I realized not everyone has the opportunity …show more content…
I made school my main priority because I knew everyone in the medical field did not get there by luck, I knew they got there by setting a goal and pursuing that goal, until they attained it, through hard work. All I would think about as I was growing up, was how I can improve my grades. This was on my mind nonstop. This mindset brought me to seventh grade, where I started taking AP classes, and I continued, until this year. I told myself that I will try to take as many classes as I could, that would help me in the future, and I did. In my freshman year I took all AP classes, which included; AP Human Geography, Pre-AP Math, Pre-AP Physics, and Pre-AP English. My Sophomore year, I tried going a little further and made the decision to get into two programs. One of the programs is called Middle College, which is a program where you are able to take college classes and get college credit. The other program I’m in is called, the Health Careers Academy. Joining the Health Careers Academy was one of the best choices I made. In the academy we are able to review careers, related to the medical field, and we are also able to learn useful
The career I plan on pursuing in life is becoming a certified medical assistant. Medical assisting is one of the fastest growing careers in healthcare. To become a certified medical assistant you will have to achieve a certification through the certifying board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). While you can work as a medical assistant without being certified, employers are often looking for someone skilled and qualified.
My future career aspiration is to work somewhere in the medical field, and I believe that the Academy could help me figure out exactly where in the field I want to be. I would like to work in the medical field because there are so many different opportunities in healthcare to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to have a career where every day is something new and exciting, meeting and making impacts on people’s lives.
Many people rush through their daily life without contemplating their actions, thereby missing vast opportunities for achievement. They waste valuable time engaging in frivolous matters instead of putting their energies towards more productive and meaningful purposes. In the words of the Dalai Lama: “Life is not about acquiring money and other facilities; it is about dedicating your life to helping others as much as you can.” The immeasurable value of helping others has been engrained in me since childhood. As a result of my own difficult family circumstances, I have become more sensitive, kind and mindful towards others and their own situations. I have developed a passion for helping others, which, in combination with a proclivity towards medicine has lead to my descion to become a Physician Assistant. I want to live a life where I can provide healthcare and aid to anyone who needs.
As a young girl I always knew that in my future I would go into a career that consisted of helping others. I also knew that I wanted to have a career in the medical field. When I put the two together and after researching different careers in the medical field, I knew being a physician’s assistant was the best fit for me. Not only would I be able to work helping others but I would be in the field that in my eyes is the best field to be in.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”. This quote from Nelson Mandela comes to mind when describing why I aspire to become a Physician Assistant. It has always been a great motivation and inspired me not to get discouraged with failure; rather look forward for your goals. Frequently, it takes many trials and lack of success as well as achievements, for one to truthfully discover him/herself. I instinctively progressed through the motions of life. Many options were available and choosing a career as I grew up kept altering, until one day when I saw how helping other people is my sole purpose of life. Getting to know more of physician assistant drove me into the thoughts of pursuing it as a career.
Moreover, I am in a career pathway. In addition, as I have mentioned before, my dream or goal is to be a part of the medical field as my career. Therefore, in last year, when we were selecting classes for high school, I have decided to
I was raised in an encouraging household where both of my parents greatly valued education. Although they were high school graduates, neither could afford to attend college; a combination of family and financial woes ultimately halted their path. As a result, my parents frequently reminded me that getting a good education meant better opportunities for my future. To my parents, that seemed to be the overarching goal: a better life for me than the one they had. My parents wanted me to excel and supported me financially and emotionally of which the former was something their parents were not able to provide. Their desire to facilitate a change in my destiny is one of many essential events that contributed to my world view.
I began my college career unsure of the path ahead of me. I knew I had a passion for medicine, however, I did not know which direction I would take. With the expansive amount of options offered within the fields of science and medicine, it was difficult to narrow down exactly what direction I wanted to take. I gained some clarity the summer of my sophomore year when I stayed at a close friend’s home, whose father, a practicing Medical Physician, became somewhat of a mentor to me. The passionate way in which he discussed the practice of medicine led me to develop an interest in pursuing a career as a physician. He explained that a career in the medical field was about responsibility, the responsibility to work with all members of the healthcare team for the well-being of the patient as well as their family
Is Medical Assisting a great job for me in the future world? Medical assisting is a job that you help people with. This job includes things like taking blood samples, giving shots, check-ups, etc. Any interests I have had within this career is that you help others, prescribe medicine if they are in need, being prompt and taking care of others. Related talents to this career that I have is enjoying helping people, experiencing blood, doing regular check-ups etc. I have selected medical assisting as a career because its easy/ great training in under a year, employment growth, and flexible schedule. I believe that being a medical assisting is the best career for me.
The ability to conduct physical exams and decide on treatment plans to aide in the improvement of patient’s lives is the main reason I have chosen to go into the medical field. I want to help patients live better lives. The ability to locate a problem and come of up with a solution is the driven component of my choice. Puzzles and problem solving have always been an interest, so to be able to perform these tasks on a daily basis would make for an enjoyable job in which I would not dread to come to work every
When my dad was gone I had to help my mom and Ross out with some of Ross’ treatments, like the pressure garments that kept his skin grafts on. I learned a lot about the medical world from an early age which has been fueled by the science that I learned in school and has been nurtured by my love for it. For the rest of my life I hope that I will be able to keep this love going with a career in medicine working as a G.P, or a General Practitioner, so that I can help people stay happy and healthy just as my family got help so long
How to become a medical office management? The first step is to take some time to research what they do and how much they get paid to see if you are interested. It's a job that helps you feel good about yourself because you are helping others. That one of the things i like about to help the once that are in need i need something to keep me positive and to move forward toward to my future.
Although I have great goals to help people, my grand wish cannot be granted without a great amount of effort on my part. I decided to take part in activities that would help me reach my goals and to ready myself for that field of work. My extracurricular activities and my electives showed proof of my interest in the medical field over time. I made an extra effort to look for activities and classes that could help me on the way to becoming a doctor. My first step was
From a young age, I was drawn to the healthcare field, not because the amount of money doctors, nurses and other health professionals made, but because of the dedication and contentment I saw on their faces helping someone in need. Growing up everyone wanted to become a doctor or a nurse and as a little child being a doctor or a nurse was a profession many parents wanted their child to pursue as a career. Needless to say, I fell into that category because I had high hopes that one day I will become a nurse. However, that dream came to a halt.
As a child I had always been interested in medicine and the medical world. My passion of learning about the human body started when I was younger. I encountered many health problems throughout my toddler years. I looked up to the doctors and medical staff around me and continue to look up to them, they were and are still my heros. That is why my goal in life is to become a general surgeon. I want to be able to save many lives since it is possible now to do so now.
