My career of choice is a diesel mechanic. I have wanted to be a diesel mechanic for my whole middle school and high school career. I want to do this job because I want to be like my uncle, he is the top diesel mechanic in the US. The thing that grabbed my interest is I like to work on things and fix things so I figured this would be a good job. I really do any concerns in getting my degree as a diesel mechanic. There are always job openings so diesel mechanic will not have to be worried on how they will they find a job. There are so many things that someone can do with this career. The occupation is a very good job it is going to keep them out of hard times and feed your family. No career is completely positive. For example, as a diesel mechanic they will have to deal with people, and they will have to get dirty every day. There are some things I can get over because I love to work with people and I like to get dirty and have fun. I already know that it is going to be a dirty job with all the grease and mud and things. I also know I would have to deal with people all the time. Some of the classes you will have to take are things like auto mechanics and small engine classes to get you familiar with the engine and what to do with them. I would have to go to a tech school in Nashville that will teach you everything you will need to know. You need to know what you are doing all the time and be very reliable so that means they have to make it to work on time. If any one is in this line of work they would have the money to live and take care of your family and bye food. No one would have to worry about having to pay a lot of bills. I started out wanting to go into the Air Force and be a pilot when I was younger. I stayed with that plan until I started welding in high school. I found out shortly that I was very good at it and became very successful in a short amount of time. I became passionate about it, spending countless hours in the shop. I have since went off to college and received my welding degree and machining certificate. After my first year of college I decided that I should suffer through another year and get my machining degree. I have known that I love building things and being able to use my head and had to create something. Both my welding and machining can be used to create very complex parts requiring a lot of thinking and this is why I have choose to open a job shop.

The diesel engines combustion process is a little different than the typical gasoline engine.
