Why Guns Are Bad

Guns are very helpful tools that have helped the world as a whole develop. Guns have shaped the world as we know it today. Guns have caused many problems, good and bad. Guns help us defend us and hunt, but they also hurt and sometimes kill people. But to me it's not the guns fault, it is the handler's fault. A gun can’t just stand up and walk to a school and start a school shooting. Somebody has to put ammo in to that gun, someone has to take that gun off safety. Everybody says that if we take away guns crime rates will go down. I completely disagree with that statement. By definition a criminal is someone who doesn’t follow the law. So what's to stop a criminal from breaking the law to get a gun to do something bad with it. It’s whoever is

Guns help protect ourselves and others from somebody wishing to do harm. If guns are taken away, we have no way to defend ourselves. If somebody were to pull a weapon on you and you have a concealed weapon permit to carry a handgun and you have that on you, you have the right to defend yourself.”The argument asserts that gun control would violate a right to defend oneself as one sees fit”(Degrazia). Another good thing from guns is that you use then to go hunting. You can hunt anything from small game like pheasants, squirrels, rabbits and more. Or you can hunt big game like deer elk or antelope. You can now even trophy hunt which, is more along the line of lions, bears, coyotes animals like that. Some people hunt as a way to survive in secluded areas. Yes some take it as killing an innocent animal, but others see it as a time to go out with family and friends and have a good time. I know when I go out pheasant hunting it’s usually the one time I get to see some good friends and to have fun with them. We even have traditions that we do when hunting. So yes it takes the life of an animal, but we are like the predators and they are our prey and we need their meat from them to survive. If guns are taken away and people can’t hunt how are people supposed to survive. Not every wants to live off of vegetables like some people do. I prefer to eat deer sticks or jerky or pheasant breasts any day of the week. Taking away guns will take away some people's lifestyles. Taking away guns will take away
