Can one pack rainbow sprinkles, moist cake, sweet icing, fierce competitiveness, and iconic celebrities all in one show? Cupcake Wars never fails to be a family show that everyone can sit around and watch. Throughout the show the audience will witness triumph, failure, and possibly even tears. Contestants enter the show at their own risk and only one can come out on top as a Cupcake War champion. Sugar and spice isn’t always nice Cupcake Wars is known for taking four semi-professional bakers and putting them through three different tasks, eliminating a contestant each round, until there is only two bakers left to win a cash prize of $10,000. However, in this episode four celebrities-- Nick Young, Perez Hilton, Lea Thompson, and Audrina …show more content…
Host and star of Mean Girls Jonathan Bennett showed his cheer spirit throughout the show. When it came to flying high on top of the pyramid everyone--Jonathan included-- believed it would be best if he stuck with what he knew best which was hosting. The host wasn’t the only one who was in the peppy spirit; guest judge Kristine Cather from the United Spirit Association showed her cheer spirit by calling out the remaining time just like a cheerleader would. This ongoing spirit keeps the audience entertained and engaged with the show. It’s like seeing someone else smile it’ll make you want to smile as well. The Lacking quality of the show is that they have no balance between harsh judges and judges with compassion. With all the laughs and quality baking that Cupcake Wars brings to your family living room or even your desk at work, it also gives people the harsh reality of professional judges. French pastry chef and owner of Madmac Macaroon, Florian Bellanger knows exactly how to dish out criticism and unlike his desserts they aren’t sweet. One can compare Florian as the Gordon Ramsay of

Childless Couples on Television Throughout the evolution of television, there have always been TV shows of childless television couples, such as The Honeymooners or King of Queens. As television has changed throughout the decades, so have television’s childless couples. In the beginning of television series with childless couples, the wife was the one that stayed at home, cleaned, cooked, and did the laundry. The husband was the one that made the money by going to work. Television series always portray women as the weaker characters.
In the DemoracyNow.org video link, it was stated that the McDonald’s lawyers provided a list of seven hundred other customers’ names, who in the past ten years had made complaints against McDonald’s stating their brewed “hot cup of coffee” was too hot. McDonald’s serves over a million cups of coffee worldwide, so the two million and seven hundred thousand dollar jury’s award was the two days’ worth of coffee sales that McDonald’s had to pay for brewing their product “the cup coffee” too
In 2009, TLC aired a reality television show entitled Toddlers and Tiaras. It was instantly a hit with home viewers and also brought major controversy over child beauty pageants. The show focused mainly on glitz pageants; which requires all contestant, however young, to compete with make-up, spray tans, acrylic nails and revealing costumes. Many, such as I were entertained at first with the pint size Barbie dolls; however after watching a couple episodes, controlling stage moms and toddler melt downs reveal that glitz beauty pageants are nothing less than objectification and exploitation of young girls. Beauty pageants not only exploit children but are detrimental to the child’s physical, emotional and psychological health.
Ideas and views of families have changed drastically throughout time. Along with these changing views, so have the ideas of why they exist. These changes have been driven, socially, politically and culturally that vary based on different ages, races, genders and societies that a person identifies with. To observe how some of these ideas and attitudes have changed over time, I looked critically into television shows to see which messages are being constructed as a reflection of our societal values. The images and values of family that were constructed through these television shows explain traditional roles while exposing the challenges of an nontraditional family.
The quandary is that some celebrities can't understand that when one is out in plain view of the public, one cannot reasonably expect privacy. Privacy is a right reserved for when one is in private.
It’s pathetic how these parents live through their children. Every parent says they allow their child to decide if they want to compete. But these are the same parents who say their daughter has been in pageants since she was in diapers! So how did she voice her opinion then? I have been watching clips of the “Toddlers And Tiaras” and just about every mother says, “Yes I am very competitive I want to do good at everything I do!” Why is this when they aren’t the ones competing. Jordan’s (a child on Toddlers and Tiara’s) mother said “Yes I’m very competitive, when my daughters on stage she represents a product of me.” Or the one parent who said they see pageants as a great investment. How disgusting. Not only are these little girls exploited, but also it’s usually for the parents benefit. Ther...
Few people on television are able to bring joy to others just by being themselves, but those who can are known as modern day icons. Certain individuals have the ability to get up everyday and entertain crowds of hundreds. Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres are prime examples of people who can brighten others’ days and do so for a living. Oprah and Ellen are two memorable women who have accomplished careers as daytime talk show hosts; they have two separate histories that have formed them into the idols we know today. Viewers have grown up watching both women on television, and have learned meaningful life lessons from doing so. They are often thought of as important role models for young women and men in today’s society (Happiness Weekly). Although their stories may
Through songs like “Pumping Up the Party,” she also taught listeners that life is always better when shared with friends and family. Her performances were often accompanied with lots of smiling, laughing, and story-telling.
Justin knew that the scene where Adam told Chelsea the truth was the perfect one. Melissa Claire Egan, who plays Chelsea, helped him pick and he is pretty sure they both sent in the same reel. .@eonlineTV I nominate Chelsea & Adam Newman #Chadam from The Young and the Restless for #TVTopCouple #YR @YRInsider
For instance, when she won against the first opponent Rachel, she didn't brag not only that, she invited the girl because she had no one to cheer for her, and later on she also invited another opponent that lost to her, Yolanda. Not only did she never brag she never called the people who lost losers or any other names. She also shook hands with everyone which shows very good sportsmanship. She didn’t have to be a good sport but she chose to be one, which is very admirable.
Society always wants to keep an eye on their favorite celebrities’ life. It is fundamental. Every little detail the public wants to follow like what and where they are eating, whom they will marry, or what they are doing all day –such a vicious cycle.
Family Guy, an animated sitcom about a New England family and their everyday dilemmas, is a way for viewers to see the comedic side of a dysfunctional family. The Griffins consist of Peter and Lois, the patriarch and matriarch, and Meg, Chris, and Stewie are the children(Family Guy). Every character is different from the next character. They are also weird in their own way. The television show itself displays feminism, structuralism, and gay and lesbian criticism. Each character in the show also displays those criticisms in a certain fashion. Family Guy can be offensive to viewers with its satire, and the way the show delivers its message can make the family and the other characters in the show seem dysfunctional.
...spread cheer to the park? The face in the corner had a bored expression like he was forced to take that photo and he would mouth off to the man behind the camera. At least he was hot.
