Why Are Colleges Better Than Small Colleges

With over 4,495 colleges in the United States alone, it can be complicated to narrow it down to just one. The U.S. is fortunate to have a multitude of colleges to choose from but it also produces it into a difficult choice. As a high school senior it seems we have to generate countless decisions and the biggest is college. When choosing a college everyone needs to consider the campus size, their degree fields, and the campus location. Campus’ range in sizes just like the towns we grow up in. Various people find it comforting to attend a larger college, so they have numerous social groups to pick from. With large schools people may come to the idea that they are just a tiny fish in a large pond. If someone enjoys seeing new people every day and barely seeing the same faces this is a favorable option. On the other hand small colleges have added one on one with the students. The professors will more than likely remember students for either great or terrible reasons. There will be a lower amount of people to socialize with and potentially befriend. The size people prefer depends on how they feel it fits them best for both educational and social purposes. …show more content…

Colleges occasionally specialize or excel in a few areas of study. As Oklahomans know if someone wants a veterinary or agricultural degree your preferred option is OSU. It does not secure one college superior than the other just simply forms it to be an exceeding choice to go to a higher rated college in the preferred field. Some colleges do not offer certain degrees for the reason that they do not have the resources to direct that field. It is a significant task to look up what someone’s future field will be and what requirements it has to know what college is best
