Am I Depressing You Already?
Reading information without an understanding, without an emotion, a thought, or a clue of what is happening. Depression is when your entire mind and your body shuts down. It is when you fail your body. It is when you can no longer feel. No longer feel love, joy, or sadness. No longer remember the memories you once had with your loved ones. Depression is when you are at a level where everything in your body shuts down, especially your mind. The only feeling you are capable of feeling is frustration. Frustrated you are a loser, frustrated you cannot understand simple math, frustrated at yourself for no apparent reason at all. Depression is when you cry three times a day, hoping these tears will provide you with answers. Crying to make yourself feel better when all you feel is frustration.

You hope to tell yourself that you are important, that you are worth it. But then again, you are not in control of your body. Your body is in the hands of another, in the mind of another. You want to escape this wretched state, but you cannot. You believe this is the only future, the future held for you.
When you are in depression, you feel hopeless. You feel life is not worth living, that you live to experience the same, mundane routine every day. Depression is when one feels out of character, by different kinds of sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, self doubt, and guilt. Usually a person feels more depressed at a time of grievance, like the loss of a loved one, or having a bad day. In most cases simple depression only last for a day in situations of small embarrassment, however if a person is feeling more depressed they will have a huge lack of energy and loss of interest in activities.

Depression is a mental illness in which a person experiences deep, stable sadness and discontinued interest in nearly all activities. People also use the term depression to describe the temporary sadness, loneliness, or blues that everyone feels from time to time. In contrast to normal sadness, severe depression, also called major depression, can dramatically lessen a person’s ability to function in social situations and at work. People with major depression often have feelings of despair, hopelessness, and worthlessness, as well as thoughts of committing suicide.
