The target market that the writer of ‘Odds Are’ is trying to aim for is the adolescents. Demographic is the identification of a large group of people by their interests, culture and hobbies. Adolescents are of all genders between the ages of 10-19 and are in their stage of development where they are finding themselves and going into adulthood. It will mainly be adolescents who have families who are not so protective and controlling and allow them to go out and enjoy themselves. In this activity my target market will mainly be adolescents living in urban locations because it is primarily them who are barely at home, going out with friends and enjoying themselves. This is due to the fact that in urban cities everything is so congested and in …show more content…
Adolescents are similar because they too are just understanding their feelings and what to do with them. They are going through puberty, thus leading them to get confused sometimes and become conflicted about their feelings. This correlates to the play as the main characters are having mixed emotions as well about their feelings towards each other and whether they want to stay committed or not. Due to this reason, Odds Are has an edge over the other pieces of work because it relates well with its demographic which will result in the audience enjoying it. The market position of this play is to use everyday people as the characters, the slang/English language upper middle class adolescents use, and the regular locations they like to hang out at every day. Using this market position, the target market will easily be attracted to this play as they can relate to it well. Considering the fact that most of the adolescent population is made up of upper middle class people, it is evident that they will enjoy this play which would result in them going and telling someone else about it, thus resulting in a bigger audience. As a result of this market position, the target audience will respond well to this play therefore concluding will a bigger …show more content…
There will be many posters displayed in various places to attract more audience. The posters will be advertised in malls and magazines. Malls are a popular location for adolescents to hang out at with their friends, which might spark conversation and interest when they see the poster. The poster of the play will be featured on various different magazines such as, People Magazine, Vogue Magazine, and Seventeen Magazine. A lot of adolescents read these magazines as well as various other people which will be a good promotional tactic. The poster will have the name of the play, screenshots of the various dates the main characters went on, release date, and a short sub-heading hinting at the play. The sub-heading will be one that adolescents can relate to which would influence them to attend the play. The apps that the play would be advertised on would be facebook, twitter, and candy crush. On facebook, towards the right of the screen there will be various advertisements for the play including some pictures and the title. People can then click on it and be linked to an article informing them about a brief summary, the actors, and the release date. On twitter, there will an account dedicated to making tweets about the play and interacting with the fans. Some of the tweets will also be promoted so it can appear on everyone’s
...od out because he used charm and just the book to advance in the company. I think young adults and adults who are into economics, how companies work or even realistic plays would like the production that was put. It was simple and gave across a clear point. I think that people who grew up in the sixties and worked during the time period would enjoy the play. I feel that they would have a different understanding of it because they grew up in the time period and lived through what was going. Over all the play head a straight forward point that in my opinion put J. Pierrepont Finch as the protagonist because everything revolved around him, he had a simple objective and every set or choice he made effect something or someone. Whereas the antagonist was reaching high positions in the company because that was the main thing that was in Finch is way at achieving his goal.
In the article "Ten Ways We Get the Odds Wrong", author Maia Szalavitz emphasizes "why worrying about risk is itself risky" (255). While behaving riskily can lead to bad outcomes, having anxiety, being worried, or being afraid of the outcome of some risks can be dangerous to your body both physically and mentally. According to Szalavitz, fear can be one of the scariest things out there. Even President Franklin D. Roosevelt said that the "only thing to fear is fear itself" (FDR's first inaugural address). Both of these sources let the reader know that fear can affect their body's physical and mental well-being. I can attest to this being true through multiple personal experiences.
This essay is an analysis of two advertising posters, one of being a modern piece of media, the other being aimed at the previous generation. I will be reviewing posters from Coca Cola and Benetton, the latter being the modern piece of media in this comparison.

Have you ever looked through a magazine and found it to be really interesting? That is because you are part of its target audience. You are part of a group of people that the magazine is trying to appeal to. There is a reason Sports Illustrated is more of a man’s magazine and Family Circle is more of a woman’s magazine. The people that run that magazine put certain things in those magazines to attract their audience. More commonly, men are interested in sports and anything to do with sports. In Sports Illustrated, the reader would find sports, and that is it. The reader would not find an article titled “How working women balance their careers and home lives.” An article such as that would be found in a magazine like Family Circle, as it is targeted more towards women who have a family. For the purpose of this audience visual analysis, I will be discussing the October 8th, 2012 issue of People magazine. Looking at this issue and reading through the magazine, it is evident that the publishers do have a target audience in mind. This visual analysis will discuss who its target audience is and how the reader can tell. Also, the essay will discuss how the magazine makes the advertisements relevant to its audience.

The portrayal of Howard Campbell as pretending to be morally righteous is expressed through Vonnegut’s use of sardonic voice and invective. While in jail Campbell looks back on his time shortly after WWII, and recollects on his discussion with Colonel Frank Wirtanen, “He beamed at me and he shook my hand warmly, and he said, ‘Well—what did you think of that war, Campbell?’” Campbell responds by saying, “I would just as soon have stayed out of it” (Vonnegut, ch. 32). By having Campbell respond in this way Vonnegut sends a literal message - Campbell has a desire to avert the war - and also an implied message, Campbell has no commitment to an ideal. Vonnegut implies Campbell is not morally righteous nor does he abide by any ideals, coinciding
The use of social media in sports is a relatively new trend. Social media has enabled people to become more interactive with their favorite celebrities, athletes, and sports teams. Social media allows fan’s to keep up with their favorite teams with up to date news and it also helps the organization, specifically their marketing department. Sports teams have utilized Facebook and Twitter pages for their organizations in hopes of gaining revenue as well as the attention of their fans and casual fans. Social media is constantly evolving to keep up with the newest social trends and fads.
The media has gotten more popular over the years. Focusing more on athletes and less on the game. Social media has opened new opportunities for marketers and fans. With social sites such as Twitter and Facebook, fans can now listen in on how athletes are doing and what the athletes have to say.
Most of cities that people live are sequentially growing, daily routine of many people are also adapted for surrounding in the present. A lot of people have to spend most of their time with travelling though long distances to get from one place to another for connecting their businesses or other purposes by transportation.
