Which stimuli shape our identity? As Chuck Palahniuk, The American novelist, pointed out that "people are combined effort of everyone, nothing of me is original"(1996, p32). According to this quotation, people basically move by looking at each other's mistakes, successes. Most crowd claims that we ourselves define our identity even without knowing what identity is. We frequently give these questions to ourselves who I am, why I live, what identity is and in every occasion we think deeply, sweat over these but consequently we cannot get an authentic and a conscious answer. Identity is something indicates who someone is, including our characteristics, personality, beliefs, feelings. Yet, there are rational reasons which directly prove that a person's identity is shaped by impacts of these tree main factors: family, social environment, memory. What that memory is something essential that is root of what shapes your identity. Memories themselves are like traditions which your nation has got. For example, every country has traditions that people have to save for future generations and you are one of those people. It signifies that every person who comes after you experience those traditions and passes them to the next generation, as a result every generation or person influences the next.
