What would make someone abandon their own religion for another? There are many different reasons for someone to change their religion. Since we are more accepting of cultural differences these days, the conversion of religion is on the rise. Globally, the main religion that most people convert to is Islam. The reason being, is that it is known to lead to happiness, tranquillity and inner peace. A person would only change their religion if it was beneficial for them. The main reasons for adopting a new religion may be for a loved one, to become a better person, or you simply have interest towards a different religion.

You could be connected to someone emotionally or physically, but what about spiritually? Some people might want to convert to another religion in order to feel more connected to them. Having the same religion or culture as a loved one will help build a stronger bond, by showing how committed they are in the relationship. Knowing that someone you care about is willing to change their way of life for you, feels good. By sharing the same religion, you are sharing the same beliefs and will have more things in common. Sometimes converting to a new religion can be healthy for you because it allows you to follow through with what you believe in.
