Good afternoon to everyone. It is with great pleasure that I, Al Capone, have nominated myself for the Best “Iconic Figure of the 20s” award. While being the biggest, baddest and most feared gangster of all time, I have achieved many accomplishments throughout my life as a gangster. I ran the biggest underground bootlegging buisness there was throughout America, which resupplied alcohol back to many citizens. “Prohibition has made nothing but trouble”. (Capone) How could those god-awful progressivists attempt to take away our damn booze. My Chicago joint known as the “Cotton Club” influenced the popularity of jazz music in Chicago. My nightclub hosted some of the most popular jazz performers in America such as Al Jolson and Louis Armstrong.
