What is Worth Fighting for? What people fight for differs from person to person, it might be something as simple as who makes the best muffins, or it could be something as complex as world peace. Whatever it is that people fight for, it is not very often that these people will ever give up until they accomplish their goals. This is the basis for this essay, the small things, the big things, and why. When asked what do you think is worth fighting for, different people will give different responses, and then when asked what would cause them to stop fighting for that, the answers further differentiate. It is not a matter of “if” it is a matter of “when.” People fight over little things, like a photo of a field trip in 3rd grade, and over big things like the liberty of a nation or people. People fight for many reasons, they think the cause is just, or they are too stubborn or too prideful to betray their morals and ideals. Some trick the enemy and gain the advantage for themselves and their side of the battle, some fight valiantly for their cause to the bitter end. Of all these topics, what drives and motivates people is the most difficult to describe, as what motivates one person to act may scare another into silence. People’s mentalities differ from person to person, and no one statement describes why certain people fight and others cower in silence and allow the enemy to trample them and their opinions. These are the people that do not realize that anything that can be fought over is worth fighting over; no one person or group has the moral right to spread their views over the entire world.
